Very good for the money ,wish there was a restaurant or bar in the hotel .Close to resturants ,next to Christian Science Church.Friendly staff. The cost of parking keeps going up.But all together a good hotel for a day or two

The hotel is ok. Colors and bedding are getting old. Parking is not included in the price of the hotel room (30$ a day) No fridge in the room. Conveninently close to MIT, and a few minutes ride from Harvard University.

This Motel was clean, fresh and simple. Awesome location walking distance from the Prudential Center, Copley, Northeastern and the Museums. If you want convenience and cleanliness, stay here! As a hotel only three stories tall it had an eclectic vibe and I expected Frank Sinatra to come walking down the hall.

We were originally going to stay at another hotel for two nights but ran into a problem with the deposit policy. The Midtown was our last minute backup. Travel site showed the hotel had a deposit of $50, which worked out much better for us because we had just lost money on the other hotel due to poorly stated deposit...

Thank you for taking the time to fill out your response with such detail. I apologize for the issues that occurred and we are going to look to see why travel sites, not operated or controlled by the hotel, are showing policies that are not the hotels; so that we can have them corrected so that others do not experience...

Our stay was great! This hotel is perfect value for your money, especially if all you need is a nice place to sleep! Friendly staff, nice rooms too. No fridge to keep water or soda cold, but you can make do.

very large room made it easy for us to unpack and get comfortable for a 3 night stay. I like the fact that the bed did NOT have a heavy comforter, which can often be too hot. very near buses and trains

Excellent stay, great location with T access, took advantage of the hotels January special which made it even more valuable. Good size room with beautiful view of the Prudential building. It's an older hotel without the "bells and whistles" but I would stay here without hesitation again.

My husband and I have been staying at the Midtown Hotel for 10 years now. Every year, we are pleased with the location and all the wonderful restaurants, bars, music events, and sporting events that are close by.

You get what you pay for - nothing fancy but the Midtown is great value. Clean and comfortable rooms, close to the "T" (the Green Line Symphony is literally a 1 minute walk, Orange Line Mass Ave is 3 minute walk).

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
