I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Paradise Point Resort & Spa. Book a waterfront room and make sure you sit outside at night by a bonfire. The grounds are gorgeous and you can get a guided walk through the grounds. Don't miss a luxurious spa treatment. The restaurant is right on the water and offers a unique dining experience.

If you are the type of person who is used to staying at a Westin, Hyatt, Marriott newer Sheraton or other major hotel, whether in the resort category or business category, you will find Paradise Point to be a major disappointment. Walking the grounds, one can see how this hotel may have been a top-notch resort in its 1960s heyday...

Great concept being an isolated tropical island just outside of San Diego and close to Mission Beach & Pacific Beach. Standalone bungalows and room buildings again are a great concept. And, kids will love this place - as there are many pools, a dock with fish to feed, and a generally safe & self-contained island situation (where they can run...

TP, thank you for the comprehensive review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the tropical island layout, bungalow-style accommodations, and kid-friendly amenities of the resort. We appreciate you calling attention to some of the areas that could use improvements, particularly housekeeping service and overall cleanliness. We apologize for these deficiencies and, as you noted, are taking action to promptly remedy...

Overall a Mixed review from a local during a staycation The property to me was actually a nice break from the rest of San Diego. I'll try to break it out into sections: Location: The location is great if you just want to "get away", but if you want to be close to everything this probably isn't the best location....

just came back from a 3 day stay here. My kids had the time of their lives! 5 swimming pools, kayaking and water skiing in the bay, firepits on the beach, lush tropical landscaping with duck ponds, bikes rentals, restaurants ---- everything right on the island so you don't really ever have to leave. ok, so the place is a...

I would say the amazing spa made up for the grounds looking just terrible. There was a sign saying that the grounds were being renovated, so perhaps the untrimmed and unpruned trees and plants will be replaced or rehabbed soon. We paid for an upgraded queen room with a "garden lanai" and it was full of leaves, pieces of bark,...

Thank you for the review Madsenlinzen! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time at The Spa at Paradise Point, and will consider your suggestion regarding facility use. As you noted, our grounds are undergoing some changes. We apologize for what can be an at times untidy transition to a more drought-tolerant landscape. As you can see from past...

Pictures on the website are very misleading! I checked in and 30 minutes later I checked out. Landscape looks horrible and the bathtub was dirty. I WASNT satisfied considering the room was 400$ a night. On a positive note, GREAT customer service!!!

We booked 5 nights here, left after 2, but should've never stayed at all. The rooms are run down and in horrible shape. Our room was filthy, and the beds were hard as a rock and so old that they still had stickers to remind housekeeping when to flip them. Mattresses haven't been flipped in ages! You couldn't pay me...

We stayed here for 4 nights and each night my family grew more and more miserable. The front desk staff people are a joke. They are not helpful and know nothing about anything. We had 1 car and were charged for 2, told the car fee was $25 when it's actually $35, told by staff that we could see the...

Wildsuey, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with detailed feedback on your stay, but regret that you were not satisfied with your experience. We apologize for the incorrect information you received from the front desk staff. While we have many new team members in that department, it is no excuse for the lack of customer service. We’re...
