This is relatively close to the airport and city, but isolated enough that you are stuck at the resort unless you have a rental car, or use a taxi service, Car2Go or Uber (the latter two would actually have been convenient options as well). Other than the main lobby, the facilities and rooms look dated, as if there were 20... More

Once again amazed by this paradise in beautiful San Diego. I spent a few days in heaven and it was great! The staff is always very attentive and making sure you are very well taken care of. My wife took a nice romantic walk on the beach followed by a glass of wine at the barefoot bar. The romantic and... More

My family and I stayed on the island over the 4th of July Holiday, and visited all of the San Diego attractions. Our stay at Paradise Point was very relaxing and quiet. The kids enjoyed the pool for hours on end, and the fire pit's on the beach were a great way to cap of the day. The property sits... More

Had a really nice stay at this very unique property. Super quiet, room was great and the staff were very helpful. What a great place to unwind, and yet close enough to the city to make it very convenient. Liked having a reserved parking spot right outside the bungalow and enjoyed walking around the grounds. Paradise Point is a very... More

However, it would be great if the amenities fees policy was revised. I would rather pay the fee upfront. The rooms needed some painting, but overall the resort met my expectations. The best part of the experience was the wonderful staff. Must be that West Coast sun, but they were so friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

I was here on a two day conference and was in a standard room (102). It was fairly well equipped, with two large beds, a dresser, a comfy chair and a side table. Also a bath/shower and large sink area. One small gripe with the room - there was a coffee maker but no kettle which was a bit of... More

Stayed here 2014 new years eve with my family at the lake side bungalow. When we first checked in, I could not believe my eyes. It was like moving into a really old creaky apartment. Everything was super dated, rust in shower pan, TV was not working, showers with no water pressure etc. No privacy - bon fires right outside... More

Built in 1964 and in the rooms... it shows it...very worn and poorly kept up bungalow. And on top of it, not super clean by any stretch. Can you bear up in it, sure you can, just don't expect it to be any more. The Tacky Tiki Room decor means that all night long the phone is ringing.. its the... More

Spent 2014 Christmas and New Year's there - almost two weeks of bliss. We had side by side, one bedroom bungalows on Paradise Cove - upgraded from our actual reservations, perhaps because of our extended stay. Limited places to eat on site, but the food was decent and so was the service. Portions were hearty. Had Christmas dinner in their... More
