To help celebrate a friend's birthday, we rented a room for the night. We were welcomed to the hotel with a box of toffee. The birthday girl had a suit on the beach and our room was just a few doors down. The suite was beautiful, with a separate bedroom and living room. Ours was a beautiful 2 queen bedroom....

Our family hadn't been to Paradise Point for several years. We used to go one or two times per year for several years, but it seemed that each time we went the rooms got shabbier and shabbier, and the pools got cooler and cooler -- it was at the point where it was on the border of being uncomfortable to...

We originally wanted to go to Hawaii, but couldn't afford to make the trip, but the San Diego weather and the Hawaii-like atmosphere at Paradise Point was fantastic. First of all, we missed the big Spring Break crush of visitors, so our stay was nice and quiet. Everything was available to us. No crowds at the pools, the beach was...

It felt like a fancier Holiday Inn that is conveniently located near SeaWorld. Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Just wasn't what we were looking for. If you are used to staying in 4 or 5 star hotels -- this will not meet your expectations (we realize they are a 3 star hotel -- we just had high hopes).

Had a great visit to a beautiful resort. Grounds were clean, room was what I expected and the food was well received. Location is perfect, close to downtown and also right next to beach. I highly recommend a stay at Paradise report.

Wonderful resort. Friendly staff. Beautiful views and many activities. Great location. We spent 3 glorious days with family in a beach-side bungalow. The only (somewhat) negative thing I can say is that housekeeping doesn't come everyday, but that was OK.

Great experience for family friendly vacationing. We loved the every aspect from the bungalow style rooms, private beach setting, numerous pools, marina, delicious restaurant options, and activities including basketball and tennis courts, putting golf, bicycles, and quiet retreat spots. Highly recommended!

I just read another reviewer's review, and she could've been writing mine (check out "Detailed description of my stay"). Ok, pros first: - It's close to Sea World. - It's cheaper than staying in La Jolla (or at a nice place, for that matter). - The main pool is great for kids - it has a gentle slope so that...

Andy, we appreciate your candid review and are saddened by your overall rating of the resort. It sounds like our tropical hotel did not live up to your expectations despite the its close proximity to SeaWorld, affordable prices, five pools and central location. We sincerely apologize for the issues encountered with your guestroom and dining options. We’re surprised that our...

I recently spent 3 days at Paradise Point. The resort is a great get away for the norm. It feels like going to a tropical retreat where everyone you meet wears a smile and is just happy to be alive. You can work on you tan at the beach which is only a short walk away, jump in a kayak...

The good parts: This was a weekend getaway with my partner. The island itself is beautiful with lots of birds (only come if you love ducks and gulls, because they are everywhere) and the landscaping is gorgeous, mainly in the lobby area and entrance. It feels very much away from it all. This made it very relaxing. And the staff...
