I found the perfect place to stay over Christmas ,while visiting my son and daughter-in-law. The house ( walking distance from Mission Hills) felt cozy - Anne and Amanda were delightful ! While I was gone all day I always looked forward to coming "home" in the evening to "my" Gaslamp room and a very comfortable bed and pillows. Thanks...

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. We love the holidays, and decorate to make everyone feel as if they were spending Christmas with a family member. As you said, our location is so close to everything, and walking to 100's of eateries, and craft brew pubs is super convenient. Thanks again, and hope to see you back during...

We stayed at the Hillcrest House on a Saturday night in December. We stayed in the Balboa room. Very comfortable room on a very cool property. Clean, quaint, and convenient. Breakfast in the morning was great and Ann was a wonderful hostess. It will be our first choice for our trips to San Diego from now on.

GREAT location-- The Hillcrest House was in walking distance to great restaurants and shops. It was just a short drive to Balboa Park, the Embarcadero and Old Town. GREAT Accommodations—The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and a good size. The common rooms were pleasant. GREAT Staff—The Innkeeper, Ann, was wonderful. She is very friendly, knowledgeable of San Diego...

San Diego is not my favourite city in California - my heart lies somewhere north! SD is a military town with large naval and marine bases. However, it is pretty enough and also where about 20,000 of us haematologists meet every three years or so to discuss the latest developments. Usually, I stay downtown in one of the mega hotels...

An excellent location run by an equally excellent hostess. Ann provided us with all the information we needed, including where to replace the contents of my toiletry bag which I had cleverly left at home! Not only did she have a thorough knowledge of the restaurants nearby, of which there are many, she walked us to the one we had...

The first time you stay here it's like visiting a friend. The second time you ARE visiting a friend. Ann will make you feel welcome and give you great advice on restaurants, attractions, and transportation.
