I am surprised by the ratings given to Old Town Inn on TripAdvisor. Yes, the price is definitely right.....but the location was dismal. I chose Old Town Inn because it appeared I could walk around and sightsee from here, but that is NOT the case. The hotel is situated directly on a busy 6 lane highway in an all-industrial area....

Still a good bet but not quite as good a value as a few years ago although with a copon it is a good deal. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice ambience to the place and very convenient for the tram and the Old Town itself.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review the Old Town Inn. We truly appreciate the compliments. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and found our location convenient for your trip to Old Town and for excursions throughout the city by trolley. We stayed for 3 nights at the Old Town Inn at the end of June. The location, just across from Old Town in an industrial area did not bother us at all. The walk to Old Town is about five minutes, just across the road and under the bridge. The other areas we visited, including Balboa Park, Coronado Island, and...

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your review, your kind words are much appreciated. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for mentioning our breakfast and our pool area, we’re so glad you took advantage of these amenities. I definitely agree with you about the separate vanity area, it makes all the difference when staying with...

Very nice staff, pleasure to deal with. This is a great place to stay the night, very clean, very comfortable, good breakfast. Not in a great location for walking but convenient for driving to area attractions. The location is very close to many of the popular attractions and freeway They really keep the grounds groomed and rooms very clean for...

Stayed for two nights. The location could not be any better. While it's surrounded by industrial type buildings, it's safe and very close to Old Town and Seaworld, a quick drive to Downtown San Diego and Cabrillo Monument without getting stuck in traffic. Easy to get on/off the major freeways. Target, grocery store, gas station, etc. just a few blocks...

Had the hotel address in my GPS and when we started to get real close my question was is it in a industrial park? Seemed that it was true. The surrounding buildings are industrial and major road, railroad and a big bussterminal. Arrived on the afternoon and the check-in was quickly done. Got a room on the second floor in...

I stayed at the Old Town Inn twice in June 2012. The first time I stayed in a large room, the second in a smaller room near the pool. Both times the stay was quite pleasant. The hotel provides clean and comfortable accommodations, and a free breakfast bar which offers a fresh selection of fruit, pastries, self-created waffle, hard-boiled eggs,...

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Old Town Inn. I'll be honest at first when you arrive off the Pacific Highway you are thinking, "I am staying here?" The hotel is next to some warehouses and such but once on the property it's great. The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly and we...

Look no further for a lovely place to spend 1 or more nights in San Diego. Rates are "TOPS" and cannot be beat for the proximity to "Old Town". Now, 3rd stay. Park your vehicle at no extra charge and an easy walk (2 blocks) to Old Town or Trolley to downtown San Diego. Senior rate is $1.25 each way....
