I was in San Diego for business and decided to stay downtown to take advantage of everything downtown San Diego has too offer. After finding all of the close in hotels cost more than I could justify I found a room at a great place at this hotel. It sits at a great location on the edge of Little Italy...

I have stayed at many hotels throughout my life, but this hotel was one of the best hotel experience (if not the best) I have had over the years. The staff, the hotel, the rooms, the location and the extra special care by all at the hotel made me feel right at home......I would recommend this Doubletree Hotel to anyone...

The personnel at this hotel needs a lesson on "going the extra mile for its customers" We ended up stranded at the Amtrak train station which is about a mile uphill walk to the hotel. A taxi would not take us as it was too short a trip and I called the Hotel to see if the shuttle would pick...

I booked to save money and found a great place to stay; I'll be back. The minute i checked in I noticed how the place seem alive and the staff motivated and helpful. The manager seemed to work 24/7 helping staff to ensure customer satisfaction. The location next to little Italy means walking to dinner has many great options.

As long as you don't bring your own car and need to navigate the extremely narrow parking garage ramps, this would be a great place to stay. Otherwise, take a cab or park somewhere else. Hotel location was perfect, close to Little Italy and a cheap cab ride to Padres stadium.

Very convenient location for airport and Little Italy restaurants. The room was a generous size, quiet, and comfortable. Staff were accommodating, excellent airport shuttle service. Nothing more to add for ridiculous 200 minimum word count requirement.

Easy to walk to many excellent restaurants and easy access to I 5 N and S. A bit more of a walk, but a straight line, to the waterfront to see the ship made for the movie Master and Commander plus the Maritime Museum.

I've stayed at this hotel four times in the last five years -- it's my unofficial hideout in San Diego. You will find the same challenges everyone faces if you try to book a hotel room in San Diego during the summer: The rooms are smallish for the price, and parking is expensive ($25/night). That said, the Doubletree is one...

This hotel was very nice and was in a perfect location near Little Italy in San Diego (which we loved). Great places for breakfast and dinner nearby. Room was clean and up to date. Not a great view of the highway on the side of the hotel we were on - you could even hear it with the door closed,...

We enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree in San Diego. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We needed a hotel for one night during a layover for our flights. The hotel is very close to the airport. I especially appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport.
