This hotel was in Center City. It was close to both our preferred dining restaurant as well as our entertainment venue. We started off disappointed as there was NO parking either in or near the hotel. There was no mention of the parking charges when I booked this hotel. It cost me $45 for one night (plus a tip for...

Dear Paul D, Thank you for staying with us and your feedback. We also feel that our property is ideally located in downtown San Diego. Not in the hustle and bustle of the Gaslamp District being that we are located on the outskirts of the district, but easy walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and night life. We apologize that...

Odd design of the room with hard to reach drawers for storing clothes as they were interfering with the bed. It was cold (at least not enough warm) water in the shower early in the morning. Breakfast menu ok but slow service.

Dear Nils J, Thank you for staying with us and your feedback. We also feel we are very ideally located in the Gaslamp. Easy walking distance to many attractions, good to fine dining, and night life. We apologize for the room you were assigned to being oddly configured. It is due to the design of this historical building that we...

We recently stayed two nights in San Diego before venturing up to La Jolla for a conference. We selected this hotel based on other TripAdvisor reviews. What a great place! The price is so reasonable compared to other downtown hotels. It is just at the edge of the gaslamp district in easy walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel is...

The room was fine. Spacious and clean, although basic. We had a plumbing issue which was responded to right away. Staff were very friendly and welcoming however, there is no concierge in this hotel and the staff just kind of "wing it." On several occasions, we were given incorrect information (ie ferry info or car rental) or, they simply didn't...

Dear abbi l, Thank you for staying with us and your feedback. We are happy to hear that when you experienced a maintenance issue that once reported, it was resolved right away. This Courtyard by Marriott property is not a full service location which typically offers dedicated concierge for guests. We strive to empower our associates with knowledge of attractions,...

Hotel located in a former bank building. Vault still seen on lower level. Beautiful lobby, all decked out for the holidays already. Great staff! Just a few blocks from everything, from Petco Park to Sealort Village to the USS Midway.

Due to my job I stay at this hotel more than my own home. But the staff at this establishment definitely make it worth while. The rooms here are decent size and views are okay. But I always get a hello from the front desk staff whenever I am leaving or arriving day or night. The bartenders are awesome and...

Noisy all night long. Stayed in a street side room. Out of the 3 lamps and 9 charging outlets 2 worked. However great location for downtown if that's where you need to be. Will choose a different hotel next visit.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us, and providing the feedback you have. Evidently we have fallen short of providing outstanding service during your stay. We have shared your feedback with the necessary departments, and will be ensuring that this was an isolated issue. Again, we truly appreciate your feedback, and wish you would give us another opportunity when...

This is a beautiful hotel in a historic building located in downtown San Diego. The lobby is one of the most spectacular I have seen. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the waterfront, 3 to the pubs and restaurants of the Gaslamp District. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed was especially comfortable. The...

A beautifully renovated bank building at 5th Ave & Broadway, very close to public transit offering service to the whole of Metropolitan San Diego. We have always found the staff to be professional & very helpful. A very big plus for the hotel, is the large sports pub, The Beer Co., across the street. This was our third year that...

I had a lovely stay at the Courtyard. The room was nice and spacious. We were on the 8th floor and had a nice view from our window. It is conveniently located and only a few minutes walk to restaurants and the Gaslamp district.
