Quality accommodations, friendly staff and great service at an affordable price. Location is perfectly situated for walking in local area and close to train station as well. Fantastic ambiance in the restaurant and bar onsite.
This is an excellent hotel. The best thing about this hotel was the excellent customer service. From the moment we arrived we were always greeted and all staff were so nice. We stayed 4 nights and everyday our room was clean and chocolate left in the evening which was a nice touch that my kids enjoyed. The room view was amazing. We could see the New Years ball from our room. Location is excellent-times square, broadway, Bryant park all within a minute or two. There is also a Whole Food across the street if you need snacks, etc. So many choices for eating, shopping all within minutes as well. There is nespresso maker in the room, but I’d walk next door for a black coffee and a croissant. There is a cute little restaurant in the hotel and every evening there is a happy hour where you can get a complimentary drink which was nice after a long day. The location, safety, and cleanliness make this hotel stand out. I recommend and I will definitely come back! Thanks Luma! …
The location was perfect— close enough to Times Square but far enough away to have a little less craziness outside the door. The facilities were clean, the staff was communicative, and the overall experience was very accommodating! We let the team know we were celebrating a birthday in our check in notes and they set up our room with a balloon and a sweet note. Small gestures like that are so great and thoughtful! I was also able to leave my luggage after checking out since I wasn’t departing the city until later in the evening. It was an easy process and the staff was quick to retrieve my bags when I returned. Overall a great experience. If I need to stay near Times Square in the future, LUMA will definitely be at the top of my list.
Our stay was wonderful. Staff was so kind and helpful during the entire stay. Also, the rooms are very nice with a great views and everything was very clean. I will be staying at Luma Hotel anytime I am visiting the city.
Excellent location, couldn’t have been better! Less than a 30 second walk and you’re in Time Square or Bryant Park in the other direction, as well as multiple subway entrances. Very friendly staff, and the chocolates delivered to our room every evening were such a lovely touch. Immaculately clean. Massive room, and the bed was so comfy! Dressing gowns, hairdryer and fridge were all added bonuses and lots of places to hang/store clothes etc. The robot that can deliver things to your room is super cool! Also liked the fact each room had a doorbell and you could flick a switch to make it red to tell people not to disturb. Only a few little blips- our bathroom light kept switching off while we were in the shower, so we would have to stick an arm out of the shower and wave it around for the motion sensor to work, although it could have been down to us as we couldn’t ever work out the light switches! The electric shade and sheer on the window were amazing- for some reason our shade would do the opposite of the button, so if you clicked down, it would travel upwards and visa versa, but we got the hang of it. So cool to not have to pull your own blinds down! You can even use an app on your phone to unlock your room, however be warned that if you do, you then can’t then use the room key. We didn’t realise that and got locked out, until a staff member told us, but it was so cool to unlock our room with our phone! Will absolutely recommend to everyone and will definitely be returning. We didn’t make use of the happy hour in the bar, but maybe next time!…
Clean, convenient, friendly place to stay. The location was excellent for visiting Time Square and seeing a Broadway show. All staff, from bar/restaurant to front desk to all service, were warm and welcoming.
Greatest hotel ever. Great people, great service, and ease. The people that work there were very kind and helpful---always pleasant. They brought our bags to our room---gave great suggestions and directions. They also had a great restaurant.
The staff was top notch with a welcoming, prompt and professional air. Ron and the kitchen staff fed this Italian with excellent food and happy conversation. I will be back with friends and family when we spend a night or two out and about our city.
Very nice, clean, comfortable and excellent located hotel near time square and subway station and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store. Shopping malls are within a walking distance or easily reached by the subway.
Wonderful stay for 3 nights/4 days for our first NYC trip. Located within easy walking distance to the theater district. Our room was a two-king view room on the 17th floor. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. Super comfortable beds and plenty of pillows!
