Stayed here in May 2017, with a friend. Good, clean hotel with bagels or muffins for breakfast on a self-serve basis. Staff friendly. Mid Manhattan so good for uptown or downtown sight seeing. Would highly recommend.

From my first experience calling to add my husbands name to the list to our convoluted check-out process, the front desk people were just plain rude. I would NEVER stay here again! The hotel was adequate, but not for $250/night. There were NO amenities, I even had to walk to the bar next door to get our bottle of wine...

For the price ($300 Canadian a night in lower Manhattan I suppose is a bargain!), this place was ideal. The hotel is old, what once looked like a very nice bar is no longer used, the rooms are a little tired, but clean. The clerk who checked us in gave the impression of someone who hates his job, but others...

Friendly staff and very good service. Room cleaned every day and a good sized room too, with all you need (even a fridge). Cleaning staff were very nice and so helpful too. Perfect location for easy walking distance to all the big attractions. Subway right outside too. Couple of blocks to the Empire State building, Flat Iron, etc. Handy breakfast...

The hotel is clean, and neat. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is limited, but free. The hotel was a great place to stay. The hotel is close to the subway for access to other areas of NYC and is a short walk from the High Line park, also a great place. There are many restaurants close that have...

We just had our wedding and honeymoon in New York in April 2017 and we are so glad we chose this hotel. On arrival we asked if we could have a room overlooking the street and we were happily given various options of rooms available. Staff were always extremely polite, friendly and very helpful. We were on the fifth floor...

My experience is consistent with other reviewers except with the service provided. Location: The location is fantastic and is the best part of the hotel. Service: I was very disappointed by the service. At check in, nothing was mentioned about when breakfast was served. At check out, nothing was mentioned about keeping luggage at the hotel, even though this was...

I travelled with my daughter for the 7th trip to New York from Melbourne Australia. This hotel is in a brilliant location, from Broadway to Chelsea Market and Highline to West Village to Washington Square. The hotel offers everything you need, room size was great, simple breakfast every morning was perfect. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is a little tired...

We spent a long weekend here in February 2017, and quite enjoyed ourselves. This place is all about location, location, location. It's directly above a 1 line subway station, and one long block from an 8th Ave subway station (A, C, & E lines), so it offers easy access to the whole city. From Penn station, it's a 10-15 minute...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
