Most hotels (all in my experience) will check you in if you arrive an hour early and they have the room. Not the Chelsea Savoy. *Everyone* is told to come back at three, resulting in the microscopic lobby being packed, at that hour, and the...More

A good budget choice conveniently located in Chelsea very convenient to subway, Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and HiLine and within comfortable walking distance of the Village, Times Square, and Theater District. Nothing fancy but modern and comfortable with friendly staff.

This hotel is in a great location, has a pleasant area to sit and people watch, and the breakfast is excellent (so many hotels give overly-sweet, cheap muffins, this one has good NY bagels and delicious healthy-ish muffins.) We booked the single room which has...More

The hotel is fine and comfortable and the staff are friendly. It is close to the High Line walk and you can walk to Macy's and the shops in 42nd street. Put your walking shoes on! The rooms are dated. A continental breakfast is included.

There are not any resort fees. There are taxes from the city which is out of Chelsea savoy or any other hotels control.

As far as I remember there was no safe in the room we stayed in. We locked our money/valuables in our suitcases with a padlock & it was safe.
