For a city that is infamous for its over-priced and under-appointed hotel facilities, this place is a revelation. If you are unaccustomed to sharing bathroom facilities, please don't be put off. The ablution facilities are well maintained and not at all grimy. Bathrobes and slippers...More

Friendly staff, comfortable bed and clean room, all at a decent price. I was visiting for two nights on a backpacker's budget and a friend recommended the Larchmont. Glad he did. Checking in I was reminded of a line from a Robert Cray song -...More

This was our third stay at the Larchmont and, as always, we enjoyed it. I flew into NYC from a business trip in the Middle East, where I stayed in a US$620-a-night hotel and I can honestly say I liked the Larchmont better. Perfect location,...More

    Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

No, but I believe you can leave items in a safe behind the desk. Just call and ask the hotel. Pam
