We've been searching for that perfect New York hotel for the past few years, and have stayed in a number of different properties as a result (Plaza, Trump Soho, Crosby, Lowell). Although not quite as exceptional as some five star properties stayed at elsewhere in the world, the Mark is certainly one of the top that we've stayed at thus...

We spent 4 nights here before departing to Boston and then on to tour New England. The Hotel is in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the courtyard, no views but lovely and quiet, you wouldn't know your were on Madison Avenue. The room was immaculate with an...

Had a great time during my recent business trip. The Mark was recommended through friends and I lover using the hotel bicycle to commute and drive around the Central Park. The concierge there is super efficient and the boutique feel of the place suited me well. I will come back to stay when in NY for sure.

The Mark is all about details. What impressed me the most was a tiny detail, however it was so on point that it really made a lasting impression. When my husband and I checked in, I guess the staff noticed that I had a Fiji water and a Pellegrino bottle in my hand that we had brought from the airport...

The Mark is truly a modern home away from home, attention to every detail, nothing is too much trouble. The French GM (Olivier) is amongst the best, hospitality is in his DNA-up to date and attentive. Had a slight issue on checking in, the manager on duty Omar was on top of it right away-well done. Everything went smoothly thereafter...

Can you blame me? They are a terrific staff. The rooms are lovely. The bed was delicious. The view was sweet. I just love this hotel and while it's conservative next to a few places in NY, I loved every tasteful, pampered, appreciated minute.

My husband and I stayed at The Mark Hotel in NYC in September 2016, which was the weekend that we were getting married in Central Park. I cannot say enough great things about our experience there. The team brought fresh roses to our suite, chocolate covered strawberries, and even a bottle of lovely red wine just to congratulate us before...

My husband and I spent four nights at The Mark in September. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and attentive from the moment of "check in" to the moment we departed. Our suite was spacious and very nice; the bed was quite comfortable, the bathroom large with a big soaking tub, large shower, double vanity. Our view however was non-existent;...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
