I was visiting NYC for business and to see the Whitney Biennel. Easy walk to the Whitney from the Mark, and not far from my appointments in mid-town. My room was extremely nice and well-designed. Best array of mini-bar snacks I have ever seen. Double sink perfect for couples. Breakfast was delicious, I recommend trying the creative, healthy, delicious smoothies.

We spent four nights in the hotel as part of our honeymoon. Everything was faultless, but what was particularly memorable was the attentiveness of the staff who had the perfect balance of being very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. A big highlight for us was The Mark breakfast. We were already thinking about it when we went to bed... More

Excellent location - quick walk to Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, shopping, cafes, etc. Quiet, upscale, residential street (perfect for those who want a retreat from the confusion and noise of the city). Clean, comfortable rooms. Helpful and friendly staff.

We stayed at The Mark for three days, the room was well-appointed and pleasant, apart from the climate control which was rather unresponsive. While the reception staff working at night was professional and friendly, we were quite taken aback by the repeated dismissiveness and displays arrogance by one of the receptionists during our stay. I did not feel like complaining... More

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on your stay with us. My husband and I stayed here for a last minute anniversary trip. We chose it based mainly on location and reviews. It was way beyond our expectations! What struck us the most was the way the staff was so friendly and helpful in a very genuine way. Many times when we stay in hotels it feels like everyone is out... More

Stayed there in Jan 2014 while in NYC for business for 3 nights. Service was excellent as well as the room itself, though expensive, and would have preferred a buffet breakfast! Overall enjoyable, and the location was superb, so close to central park and similar attractions

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
