A rare mix of class and cool at the same place. Not painfully cool like so many others that try to pull off the boutique hip scene. Overall feel is very relaxing but still great for people watching .... have breakfast our lounge mid day in receptiopn area and you will see all types. Rooms are very well laid out...

The Mercer is definitely one of my favourites to stay when I am in New York, love the simple and bright rooms, very timeless. My recent stay did not disappoint and the service was very good as usual. Will definitely keep coming back.

The Mercer is a unique hotel. Lobby and common spaces are relaxed and splendid; rooms are spacious and extremely refined. In-room amenities are too many to list! Room service is from the Mercer Kitchen: top quality. Staff is great and very helpful and you really feel at home. Interior design is great: up to date but still cosy and with...

Recenly had multiple day stay at the Mercer and they were outstanding. They have a very high maintenance clientele and the staff was responsive and handled any issues with grace and poise. One small issue when I went into the bathroom upon checking in had dirty towels on floor, but the service recovery was prompt and sent botle of wine....

The overall deisign of the hotel is very loft-like, with pure white walls, amazing lighting, cool concrete floors in the lobby & clean, simple interiors. I have stayed here a couple of times. This hotel is one of the trendiest in Soho. Don't be surprised if you see a celebrity or paparazzi outside waiting for one. The reception is nice and the service is good. The normal cost per night is 500 plus which is a little expensive. The hotel is in a great spot...

We stayed at the Mercer after spending 2 nights at the Greenwich hotel (Tribeca – see my review). There’s no doubt about it, the Mercer is the place to stay and be seen if you’re in Soho however given the cost and the status of the hotel I think I expected more at times. One example was that I was...

Stayed at the Mercer last night and it was incredible. When we first arrived, the refreshing scent of candles fill the lobby and the reception desk is very friendly and helpful. I mentioned that I loved the smell of the candles in the lobby and they sent up 4 candles to my room complimentary ! The vibe is very chic...

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
