The W New York was in a great location. Everyone who worked there was greatly knowledgeable and you could tell loved working there, which is always refreshing. The room was much smaller then I thought it would be, but when you are spending most of your time outdoors, it was actually the perfect amount of space for 2 people. The...

Stayed at the Chicago W so sort of knew what to expect, but was still very disappointed. The room had a small double bed and was cramped in a tiny little closet space. The bathroom did not have a tub - this being a 4 star?? The shower was made for skinny people - barely enough room to turn around...

Pros: - Yes, the mattresses do indeed rock the casbah. I can understand why some people actually purchase W Hotel mattresses for their home bedrooms. - Bliss products 'aint bad. - Unexpected: the windows in the room opened -- we like that. - *Most staff we dealt with were pretty friendly and we got zero attitude. - Nice modern, contemporary...

My boyfriend and I traveled to New York last May and we loved the W hotel New York. The room was small, but for New York, it was just big enough compared to other hotels. I'm kind of a hotel snob - I like big bathrooms and big rooms for all my things - this hotel was not big, but...

After staying at the W Times Square last year i thought it would have been near impossible to find as good a hotel! Well W New York did just that and i cannot speak highly enough of the place. From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty and nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone we asked....

Do not book this hotel. We had booked a room which said it has two queens and a sofa, and since we were a family with three women and one man, it would work. The sofa turned out to be a hard plastic bench thing, which you could not even sit on, never sleep on! We asked for a cot,...

An average hotel - nothing special. Has a better than average gym (bench press etc) Bed is very comfortable However - food is expensive and not so good. Rooms are small The internet access is .... so, so slow. Better hotels for 30 percent less in mid town (e.g The Royalton) Overall: just.... Average!

Room had the worst airconditioning service--made a huge "bang" noise with water bubbling after every 45 min-1hr. Did not sleep all weekend! Loudest room ever! Bathroom door slid off during night. Night. Really? This is the "W". Hotel showing its age. The compensation? Points to their hotel club I do not even belong too! Location good- just short cab ride...

The concierge at W hotel, her name is Lauren Oosterlinck, was the best concierge I have ever experienced! She was extremely helpful and positive, and made our stay even better. A good concierge makes a good hotel :-)

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
