I enjoyed my stay overall. The "cable channels" were just broadcast stations & the remote didn't work. But the room was warm, bed cozy, & the in-room fridge & 4th floor kitchen helped save $ on meals.

The location was good, most of the sights were reachable by foot, others by metro through Grand Central station. Very small room, uncomfortable bed, not enough toilets for the whole floor. The view was terrible. Low value for the price.

No cotton filled quilts.Only on thin layer cloth blanket.Rooms are too narrow.Heating is on and off during the night.Wifi is off for days and no staff seems care about it.Bathrooms regularly are enough and clean but door card is locked up very frequently.Price is not that cheap actually.

I travel a lot, and I have experienced all different accommodations, from a luxury hotel going to a cheap hostel and I have to say that this Hostel is more like a hotel. The experience was just great, great staff, great facilities (including a massive gym for free) and nice rooms. Location is just perfect!!! 5min walking from times square

Literally the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. We payed a lot to stay here and honestly I would rather pay that little bit more and stay somewhere so much nicer. Don't be fooled by the reviews. The rooms were so small, with 2 of us in the room we couldn't even open our suitcases. The heaters in the room...

Fantastic location and a comfortable place to stay if you're looking for somewhere to crash whilst enjoying NYC. The staff are attentive and helpful and checking people have room keys before letting them up the lifts ensures you feel secure. Slight negative having to pay to store bags until our night time flight but all good apart from this!

Great location and exceptional value for money. Within walking distance to 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Centre, Trump Tower, Central Park, Times Square, Chrysler Building and UN Headquarters. The room itself is just a box bedroom with shared bathrooms. That was perfect for me as I was out all day and most of the evening. Felt safe leaving my belongings there too....

The Village People were correct... it really is fun to stay at the YMCA. At least that's our assessment of the Vanderbilt YMCA. Eva, at the security desk, and her colleague, Shawn, are jewels! They gave the best advice on places to visit and eat. Plus, Eva made us feel secure. Thank you Eva. We will never forget you and...

The hostel has a very nice location (47st 2ave) considering its price, but the rooms are very small. We lived in a two-bed room, which kind of was a shoebox with a bunkbed, TV and mini-fridge squeezed inside. So unless you're suffer from claustrophobia or looking for something luxurious, this is a nice option for you. The heaters however makes...

The room was very small. The heater repeatedly stopped working so some nights were very cold. Several times a day there were loud banging noises that would continue for around 15-30 minutes. I was told by the front desk that it was the hot air coming through the vents, and that there was nothing they could do about it as...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
