Amazing stay in New York for our Honeymoon! Was our second stay here at Morgans, our first stay so good, we decided to spend part of our honeymoon here! Great service from all staff at the front desk, the bell boys and the hotel manager. Got great advice on restaurants in new york and they helped us get to our...

Your review really put a smile on my face! I love meeting our guests and will always sit (if invited) and chat if my day is not crazy! Thank you for your kind review and for pointing out so many details. I am happy that you enjoyed your Honeymoon here and hope that you will also celebrate future Anniversaries with...

Just 20 minutes walk from Penn Station, in an excellent neighborhood next to the Morgan Lirary, Morgans is a small, intimate hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated with a sitting area. The windows are sealed tightly allowing soundless sleep. The breakfast area and simple continental fare and soft music are so pleasant that guests stayed around just reading the morning...

Thank you so much for your kind review! Yes, breakfast is especially pleasant these days in our Lounge! It is a nice and relaxing space that guests can use throughout the day. Also, it is rather cool in there and a great respite these days from the city heat. Now we are preparing to open the Lounge to our guests...

Very central. Close to everything really. Had a view of the Empire state building from one of our bedrooms so pretty at night. Free breakfast, no soy milk or gluten free options but there is a deli next door if you need these things and it was good choice of muffins etc. The rooftop is fantastic, if you don't like...

Thank you for your review! You mention so many things in one paragraph it is hard to respond! Overall I am delighted that you had a good stay. By the way, as far as gluten free options are concerned, we can make arrangements for you if we know ahead of time! Regards, DR

A great find! The customer service was excellent and the rooms comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and again. Did I mention the free breakfast?! The doorman and the front desk could not have been friendlier. Very accommodating.

Thank you for your kind review. You are so kind to give walking times to various locations. For New Yorkers, The Empire State Building and Bryant Park are both about 3 minutes from the hotel, but we walk very quickly! I do hope you will return and look forward to welcoming you back! Thank you so much for your kind review and for mentioning so many of our staff members. I think it is gracious of guests to remember staff names, and vice versa of course! Yes, we have moved breakfast down to the Lounge and the vast majority of our guests are finding that it is more comfortable now with plenty of...

Location: This is my 4th visit to New York. Generally I prefer a location in midtown above 42nd street. The Morgans hotel however is located between 38th and 37th, so for me the location wasn’t ideal on paper. In practice though, it was a short walk from Grand Central station. Not ideal – but not terrible. Renovation note: My stay...

Thank you so much for your kind and very inspiring words. It is never easy to open a new venue in a hotel but thankfully, you are right, it has happened! Very nice property with awesome staff! I traveled to NYC with 3 friends for a girls birthday weekend. We made our reservations at Morgans without knowing a lot about it. The hotel is in an excellent location- walking distance to subways, shopping, NY Public Library, and Times Square. This part of town is not great for nightlife so choose a different area if this is what you are looking for. Good day and thank you for your review! Well you must have been here just prior to moving our Breakfast from the Penthouse to the Lounge. We arrived while the lobby of the Morgans was still being remodeled in early June 2013. Luckily, the work was completed before we left and I’ve included a picture of the refurbished reception area with my review. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
From the moment it opened its doors on Madison Avenue in New York City, Morgans startled the world with a convention-shattering attitude and distinctive design sensibility, concocted by legendary designer Andree Putman. Again in 2008, Morgans unveiled Andree Putman's powerful reinterpretation of the first "boutique hotel" that propels Morgans' spirit forward without changing its unique character. Other features include a state of the art fitness center. Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, Morgans is just steps to Grand Central Station, Macy's Herald Square, and The Morgan Library Museum. Morgans offers complimentary Continental breakfast and wireless internet access to every hotel guest. ... more   less
