We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel in March and were pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect, around the corner from the subway which will take you to most places in Manhattan, a starbuck and 7/11 around the corner too. The rooms were small and a bit worn, but clean and all you need as there is so much to... More

Good place to stay for the money. Staff was very nice and the room was good for the money. If you are looking for up scale four star this is not the place for you. If you are looking for safe, convenient, affordable, clean place this is it. I would stay again. Building is old, but beds and bathroom were... More

Great location easy to find! However when we arrived we were asked if we would be using the wifi which we replied yes so they moved us to ground floor where wifi is at its best, when we got to our room we discovered bunkbeds with barely any room... we booked twin beds. We were disappointed at first but as... More

I stayed here with two friends and we were in a room with two double beds and a private bathroom. The place was much nicer than expected - tv and wifi in the room, beds were made after we left for the day, towels provided. The room was very hot and there was no way to control this but we... More

The location of this Hostel is very good, but it is not a Hotel. The name can be confusing. The staff was very nice and courteous. The rooms were tiny, we booked the room for 4 with attached bathroom and found it small among 3 people. Problem with the light in the bathroom and heating, were addressed quickly and fixed.... More

A group of 10 of us stayed in 3 different rooms. the other two room were lovely and spacious and had a nice shared bathrooms. Unfortunately for us in our room it was a different story. Our room was bearable, but very loud and cold. We were getting harrassed and intimidated by our neighbours and our bathroom was disgusting! The... More

This is my second stay in this hotel. Same time last year I was here too, to stay the night before the race. Some renovation was done. My room was freshly painted and carpetted. Very basic, but the queen size bed was nice and firm with warm and cozy duvet. Bathroom is very clean. I didn't have to wait to... More

Royal Park Hotel (full name: Royal Park Hotel & Hostel) is something between hotel and hostel. Rooms are very poor but clean. There are no amenities and no place to make coffee or tea. The location is good, just next to the 96th Street metro station (numbers 1,2,3). It is also close to the Central Park. The Internet is available... More

So maybe I was forgetful. Or maybe I was just being sneaky. But I could have sworn I told the hotel we would have three people when I booked online. Apparently I didn't and they charged us an extra $50, no big deal, but annoying none the less. Anyway, the hotel is pretty clean and does the job. No one... More

A very nice location, one block to metro station 96. Safe area, and safe hotel. Very quiet. We had a room with private bathroom, clean and tidy, but no toiletry, such as shampoo or shower gel, just soap and of course towels. There is a kitchen on the 1st floor with microwave and fridge. Good staff.
