We stayed in small king room, right need elevator and vending machines, although we were told we wouldn't have a view we were able to see the Empire State Building. What was fab? * View of Empire State Building (Limited number of rooms would have this) * Friendly staff What was drab? * Everything is looking very tired and worn...

My stay here had me questioning my loyalty to the Hilton brand. Hotel needs an update, bathroom especially was in very bad shape (I think the contractor was drunk when doing the shower/tile and the ceiling is flaking down). I ended up taking the stairs because of a ridiculously long wait for the elevator. The only positive I can say...

Let's start with the property's strengths. LOCATION: Walking distance to most subway lines, Herald Sq, Chelsea, MSG. STAFF: Everyone I interacted with - front desk, maintenance, restaurant, doorman, baggage ALL friendly, helpful and genuinely caring. The breakfast buffet was quite good -- free as a HHonors Diamond (and I believe Gold) member; not sure it would be worth the $30...

Rate dropped $50 per day about 24-hours after we booked on Hilton.com, they would not honor cheaper rate, checkin took too long when the room should have been ready at midnight, dirty bathroom, loud room

Stayed here for 16th birthday celebration. Very important trip for our family. Room was uncomfortably small for our family of 4, but this was eclipsed by amazing experience with all staff members we interacted with. Front desk were cheerful, highly efficient, and genuine in wanting us to have a great time. Restaurant staff were conscientious and attentive. Set the bar...

Extremely comfortable stay at the Double Tree Chelsea NYC. Will stay at this location again. It was perfect! From the staff to the rooms to the free breakfast! Excellent!!!!! Check in was pretty awesome online and the digital key was pretty cool too however, when I activated the key on my phone it cancelled the key card.

I stayed one night at the hotel, but got in early and had to leave the hotel late. The staff was very accommodating with my schedule, which I appreciated. The room itself was fine, if a little dated. Still, comfy bed and quiet room. My only issue is that the concierge told me to take a car service to my...

Room was clean except perhaps carpet. Room and bathroom small but adequate, comfortable and clean. Good TV, linens, amenities. Elevator broke while we were there. Went to the restaurant to check out room service and menu and the manager (?) was so nice and sat me down and I ordered a burger he said would be sent up to the...

Hotel was great and clean. It was small but comparable to most nyc hotels. Bed was comfortable. Location was convenient for me. Luggage storage was easy. Only negative is that all rooms are close to elevator and you can sometimes hear hallway chit chat but it didn't keep me awake. Overall very satisfied.

We stayed for 4 nights. Room was big enough for the 2 of us. We hardly spent any time in it we were so busy shopping and sight seeing. Maid was in daily to change towels etc. We had tea coffee in room and also an iron and ironing board. There was also a safe deposit box available free of...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
