An average hotel with average service. It's close to Penn Station, but otherwise there are other hotels nearby that either offer more for the same price or have better pricing for the small room and average amenities.

We were in New York for a five nights stay to celebrate a significant birthday. We were greeted in a very friendly & courteous manner & checked in speedily even though we were significantly ahead of stated check in time. Our room was already available. The hot cookies are a nice touch. The room was absolutely fine in all respects....

I booked my room through Hilton Honors and the hotel didn't see my advance payment so put a hold on my card again for the full room charge plus incidents. When I attempted to get my funds back available, I was basically told it wasn't the hotel's fault and I had to wait 5 days for it to be released...

Solid tourist hotel in great location. Room small but fine. Everything worked. Staff was ver helpful. Elevator can get slow when a tour group checks in or out. Water temp in shower stayed steady, a real plus. Would stay again no problem. Near penn station

This was our second stay at the Hilton Double Tree Chelsea. It was recommended by a friend after previous not very satisfactory stays at similarly priced hotels near Wall Street. Both times we have been very pleased with the quality of service and price/value ratio offered by the Hilton Double Tree Chelsea, not to mention its proximity to good restaurants,...

Nice location with a view of the Empire State Building. Close to Macy's Herald Square. Rooms are a little small for a family but is what I expected for NYC. Not much of a lobby. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed my stay - hotel was close to Pier 59 golf and sports complex, running and bike trail, highland talking path and near good places to eat dinner. On-site Breakfast was very good. Staff were very pleasant.

This hotel is WAY too small, and the rooms are tiny. Usually at Doubletree you have larger rooms or suites. But these were TINY. Also there are only 2 elevators and no staff elevators, so the staff (housekeeping) has to use the same elevators as guests. This means you have to wait for multiple elevators to come if you are...

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Smaller than other DoubleTrees but typical for NYC. Staff is pleasant but not proactively helpful. Basic amenities. Close to a subway and easy walk to Empire State Building, Flat Iron, and the High Line.
