This hotel is an absolute gem. The location in Upper West side is quiet but still central to so many sites. The decor is stunning. We hung out in the lounge lobby area just taking in the ambiance, and the smell! Omg the candle smell is mmmmm. The staff, every single person was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. From the door men to the housekeeping staff, ever person was so gracious. And to the fabulous gentleman in the sharp light blue suit who greeted us with warm fresh towels after we got stuck in the down pouring rain lightning and thunder, thank you so so much. It was the most thoughtful act any hotel has ever done for us. We won't forget it. We will definitely be back

What an absolute gem of a find in the UWS of Manhattan. Superb location close to shops, delicatessens, the subway and Central Park. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet street. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return to The Wallace. Thank you to all the helpful staff.

Excellent hotel in good location. Very friendly staff and great rooms. Whenever we are in town we stay at the Wallace. We usually check out reviews of places we want to stay. The Wallace had very positive reviews and we know why.

The hotel is well-located in the upper west side. It is close to Central Park, a subway station , and plenty of local restaurants and shops. Staff are polite and friendly, the room was large and well furnished. Some very minor niggles - we heard some noise from the room above us, which is disappointing at this price point. - the ground floor bar is (permanently?) closed, so the beautifully decorated lobby area was deserted and lacked any atmosphere.

This is my 5 th stay at this fantastic hotel. Pet friendly and such amazing service. This renovated brownstone always makes me feel at home in big rooms with many amenities. I love the robes and slippers in the suites. Close to many fabulous restaurants and to subway and buses this hotel never disappoints. Slinky and I love it. ❤️🤠

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Reasons why: - Beautifully appointed rooms that were very comfortable, clean and spacious (the last one a luxury for NYC!) - Responsive, helpful and friendly staff who were very personable and made us feel so much at home: from GM Victor Freeman, Steven and his team at the front desk the front desk, housekeeping manager to the technician and housekeeping staff). Whatever request we had, we were attended to promptly. Top marks for service! - convenient location along Broadway, minutes from the Subway 1 stations and with all kinds of restaurants, shops (pharmacy, groceries, laundromat, you name it) within walking distance. All these reasons more than made up for the fact that the hotel didn’t have dining options on site (we didn’t need them because there were so many dining options within close proximity), and it was super easy for us to hop onto the subway to get to other parts of NYC. We will recommend the Wallace to everyone and certainly know where we will stay on our next visit to NYC.

A really great hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms were much bigger than most in NYC and brand new. The staff could not have been more friendly. Once the new Bar is open I suspect you won’t be able to get a reservation!

I booked the Wallace through Magellan Luxury Hotels. I had stayed there once before, also booked by Magellan. I had a written confirmation. I arrived at the Hotel on the evening of 9/11 and was told I had no reservation because it had been cancelled allegedly for non payment. They claimed they had contacted Magellan and received no response. They were not helpful despite my having a written confirmed reservation for 3 nights. Since it was Fashion Week the Wallace only had a room for one night and said they were full for the rest of the stay. I could not reach Magellan and was forced to find another and more expensive hotel for the next two nights of my stay. As I was there for important business meetings, this was especially stressful. The next morning I asked the Wallace if they were still full and they said yes. No one seemed at all concerned about my situation and they insisted it was Magellan 's fault. When I asked Magellan for help they told me they investigated and determined it was the Wallace 's fault. Supposedly the Wallace despite admitting fault to Magellan would do nothing to compensate me for the costs I had to incur for this fiasco. And Magellan, despite being my agent and claiming to provide "gold star service", would not compensate me. So much for "gold star service". I won't be staying here again. Confirmations mean nothing.

Dear Andiell I am very sorry to read of your disappointment with respect to the reservation confusion. I will not get into finger pointing but at no stage did The Wallace admit to having done anything wrong. Despite your reservation being cancelled well in advance we did check you in for one night without a reservation. As you rightly point out it was Fashion Week and The Wallace was sold out so we could not extend you for for an additional two nights. As a gesture of goodwill we offered you a future complimentary stay with us being empathetic for this unfortunate situation. Our guests are our highest priority and I regret this booking misunderstanding caused you a negative experience.
