Stayed at the Chelsea Pines Inn- NYC. The staff are amazing so friendly and really helpful especially Sean at the front desk. I had meetings at NYU so location was fine. We usually stay in Soho so this was new for us. Breakfast was perfect really nice touch! Coffee all day and cookies also very nice.

A great hotel in a great location - the breakfast was great, especially Sean's daily bakes! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay; not long after we mentioned this the hotel gave us a small present and lovely card. A wonderful personal touch that sums up the excellent customer service we received. If we ever make...

Room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms had amenities I expected. Best of all, service was excellent -- I was greeted by name both nights I stayed there. Location is also excellent. It's right next to the 14th st subway station, which can get you to JFK, Manhattan, etc.

Loved the themed idea to the rooms which were absolutely spotless. Breakfast was enjoyable and included homemade items and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again and recommend.

This was a lovely hotel. Had a lovely chat with Louis about Australia and he helped Get a taxi for the airport. He was a really nice well travelled person. Give him a pay rise!!! He deserves it and is very loyal. From the English couple who you had to open the door for each day!!

We booked this hotel because we were looking for something a bit different in the Chelsea / Greenwich Village area. On the plus side, the staff are very friendly and helpful (for example. lending us a France-US plug converter), the location is good and there is a reasonable selection of food for breakfast, as well as free cookies & coffee...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Chelsea Pines Inn. We found the rooms, whilst older style, spotlessly clean and with the film themed decore adding to the charm. All the Staff we met with were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and more than adequate to keep us going for big days out enjoying the sights and sounds...

We stayed at Chelsea Pines Inn for eight nights. This was our sixth visit to this much-loved hotel, and the first since the Inn was sold by Jay Lesiger. We knew there would be changes - but change turns out to be all on the down-side. The priority of the new owners (who are not hoteliers but instead are a...

I had been looking forward to another at the CPI, but unfortunately the change of owners has eliminated most of the great hospitality and atmosphere at the hotel. I booked a one-bedroom-suite for three persons, but when we arrived in the evening after a long transatlantic flight, it was only prepared for two. I had to fetch pillows and sheets,...

This is a quaint boutique hotel in a great location, very close to the metro, a short walk to The Chelsea High Line and the Chelsea Markets. Lots of cafes, restaurants and eateries within easy walking distance. The staff are all very helpful and courteous. The front staff are also eager to answer any questions or to find out information,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
