We have just returned from our first ever visit to New York City and were delighted with Chelsea Pines. We booked back in April on the back of glowing reviews and so on, so we knew we had picked a good one. Later in the year we noticed it had changed hands and the positive reviews were suddenly not looking...

I had a 2nd floor room, kind of overlooking the lobby. The room is fine size-wise (for New York). The bed was especially long which I appreciated. Noise isolation from outside was good. However, the front door leaks noise so anything from the hall or lobby can be heard. Bathroom was clean enough and fine functionally, though a bit cramped....

I have to say I absolutely adore everything about the property! I come once a year and the service and accommodations never cease to disappoint me. Unless your a grumpy old person stuck in your ways, I like the (not so obvious) new changes. They updated their linen from the hideous colors to a smooth all white finish, the staff...

This is a great independent hotel, with real character. Each room is based on a classic Broadway actor and we had the Doris Day room. The owner was very helpful and booked a show for us. A buffet breakfast was included, which we always ate in the courtyard. The location was great as it is in the heart of Manhattan...

After booking this hotel when it was the near number 1 establishment in New York I learned that the premises had changed hands and was receiving mixed reviews. We decided to stick with it anyway and here are my views. The location is excellent, the front desk staff were friendly and informative and tried to help where they could. Luggage...

This is my 3rd stay at Chelsea Pines Inn and i try to explain why YOU should stay there. Navigation: The Location is perfect to start exploring NYC. The Subway station 14st is only a few steps away and brings you to every interesting point in NYC. The most of the time without changing the line. If you came from...

From booking through to departure the staff at the Chelsea Pines Inn could not have been more cheerful, helpful and lovely. My partner and I took my 86 year old dad for his first visit to NYC (he absolutely loved it and is planning a return in Spring '17!) and they were wonderful with him. Thanks again all of you!...

Great location, cozy, clean, and comfortable. Stayed on 5th floor and it was a steep walk up. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Within walking distance from many places as well. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Chelsea Pines Inn for our delayed honeymoon and were delighted to walk into our room to find a card and some flowers from the staff congratulating us. The warmth and kindness from the staff continued from there and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Sean in particular was so warm and welcoming and made our stay that...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
