We visited NYC in October 2023 and chose this hotel for the second time after our stay in 2022. No disappointment, we had a great stay again. It has an excellent location in Downtown Manhattan, right at the Financal District. For us it was the perfect "ground zero" for exploring New York. Not so busy like the Uptown, still has everything closeby: Staten Island Ferry, Subway Line 1, the Battery Park, diners and of course the historical Wall Street. This time at the arrival we had some issue with the room, but Wanda at the reception was really flexible and solved our problem quickly. We appreciate it! The hotel is clean, well equipped, nothing luxurious, but the attention of the staff with Martin-An is a five star. About NYC? Well, you have to be there to feel it, so go ahead, book this hotel and enjoy!

Hotel's Favourite
4.5 Pros: Clean Comfortable bed Lots of different size pillows Good hot shower/bath Water view (in the less expensive rooms, even, we just asked!) Best- incredible staff at desk, in housekeeping, restaurant, bar (amazing drinks) and engineering/maintenance. Other than tax and $3.50 NYC charge- no hidden fees Free morning coffee in lobby and second floor Steps to Whitehall subway station and SI Ferry, Ferries to Liberty and Ellis Islands Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion in good amounts and real soap 12 Noon check out Cons: The little coffee machine thing in our room was pretty dirty, still had a used pod in it (lobby and restaurant was better anyway) Stuff: View helicopters headed over Statue of Liberty can get noisy in AM (not real early), construction on adjoining road (Sept '23) but Sunday AM is heaven, though, sleep nice and late- Very pleased with this hotel. Really excellent staff pushed the rating to 5. Will return. (With the Hilton honors credit card, I think - didn't tend to stay in them often!)

My wife and I routinely make trips several times per year to NYC and we usually stay at this hotel. We have stayed here since 2018 and continue to come back. We have been very happy with the hotel itself and the staff have been great. This time they went over and above to exceed our expectations and I wanted to make it a point to write about our experience. This trip started out differently. We arrived late on the 23rd after our flight was delayed. When we arrived at the hotel we met Nakita at the front desk. We were told that the room we had booked (1 king bed) was unavailable at that they had only rooms with double beds available. We were very upset. We had planned this stay and booked months in advanced. We were very disappointed that the room we booked was not available. When we went up to the first room it was unfortunately not ready for guests and we had to go back and change rooms. Nakita was professional and tried her best to make things right. She said someone would call us between 9 and 10 am the next day to follow up. The next day, exactly as promised we were called to let us know that the room we had booked was available. We were thrilled. We felt heard. We felt that the staff had made a promise to get back to us and help make things right - and they did exactly that. We ended up just staying in the room we were in and let the staff know we were happy with how they handled things. On top of that the front desk staff helped get us a late check out so luckily we could go directly to the airport. On our way out the manager met us to ensure our stay went well and we thanked him. Every time we passed by the front desk or came in and out from exploring the city or shopping we were always greeted with a smile. We really appreciated how we were treated. It was a frustrating situation to begin with but their team made it right. We wanted to pass on our compliments to the whole team at the hotel for our stay. Everyone we encountered from the cleaning staff to maintenance to dining staff to the front desk was warm and professional. It did not go unnoticed. We will definitely be coming back here and recommending this hotel to all of our friends and family. Thank you for an excellent experience.

We had 3 rooms for a Thanksgiving visit. Except for the heat being hard to regulate, our experience was great. We had clean rooms and good service when we needed engineering or housekeeping. The location was not bustling, but within a 5-10 minute walk there were restaurants and a drug store. It is very close to subway stops.

I like the nice rooms and location. Room was a little dated though. Price was okay given that location was near the subway and ferry. Overall a good choice to stay in Manhattan. Wasnt too crowded around the area at night too.

The staff was incredibly helpful, specially Martin, Jaquanna, and Ann. They gave us the best recommendations on where to eat, where to go, and what to avoid around the area. One day, during our stay, we lost an iPhone charger. Martin managed to get us a backup one so that we have everything we needed for having a great time. Thanks to the staff for your awesome service.

Well located hotel, nice rooms and very nice welcome and service at the reception desk. In particular from Martin Jaquanny. Beds very comfortable. Only mitigation for the shower which was a little old fashioned. Location was very good : close to Staten Ferry, subway and Wall Street

Very small Spartan rooms. The Internet is completely unusable. The door to the bathroom maladjusted dragging the floor tried to get it fixed ...no response over four days. Fawcet was falling out of the vanity top...completely lose. They did get that fixed. The carpet is frayed, and wallpaper is falling off the walls. There was channel no guide for the TV. I asked at the front desk over 4 days and never could get information about the channel lineup. I wanted to watch a financial program on CNBC....they just could not understand ...they keep giving me directions for ESPN. ...and this is about half a mile from Wall St.! This is absolutely the most spartan low bid Hilton I have ever seen and at $420 a night. These rooms compare favorably with an upscale Motel Six Also, the wayward elevator would randomly go astray. However, the breakfast in the second-floor dining room is quite good. Service is very fast, and the staff were very nice. Obviously, we will never stay there again.

We loved this hotel. It is down in the financial district which is a bit quieter. The front of house staff were absolutely amazing.Shantel and Martin looked after us so we’ll.There was also a young lady who checked us in ( we didn’t get her name ) who made us feel so welcome after a whole day travelling from Scotland. Our room was overlooking the Staten Island ferry terminal.Room was very comfortable and clean. There is a subway station right beside hotel that will get you to Times Square in about 20 minutes. Also a short walk away is the pier where you can get the ferry to Brooklyn and various other boat trips. There’s a couple of nice bars very close to the hotel. All in all we highly recommend this hotel.
