I stayed for 3 nights while in town on business. My room was compact and faced a small back courtyard with little sunlight - not a problem as I was out all day. Location is great with 4-5 restaurants on the same block and much shopping and dining in easy walking distance. Being just off Lexington means you can easily use Via’s inexpensive shared car service with pickups on major streets. A little worn around the edges (duct tape on a window, bathroom grout and caulk could use a refresh in spots) - but impeccably clean. My room had 2 queen beds but would have been a tight fit for 2 people’s items and 1 desk chair for the small desk. It’s a good size for a couple used to living together or a single traveler. Really fine-quality bed and bath linens. The pillows seemed to have some sort of airtight cover (probably for sanitary protection, which I appreciate!) meaning they were balloons until they sank a bit, and then hard for me to arrange comfortably, which affected my sleep. I just need to start carrying a packable down pillow when I travel, I think. The staff was so professional and welcoming. My bill was just as expected, no surprises, and a very reasonable rate for the location and quality. Much appreciated. Thanks for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!…
The carvi is such a great hotel. Friendly staff. Immaculately clean and had luxury amenities like quality robes and double shower heads. Very quiet. Didn't hear a peep all night, so great sleeping conditions. I had a problem with my thermostat and Marcos at the front desk was very helpful and fixed it right away. I also noticed the systems air filter when being checked, which looks like it was recently changed and very clean. This means alot to someone with allergies and sensitivities. So thank you for a wonderdul stay Carvi! Can't wait to return.
Stayed here for 6 nights over Xmas, lovely hidden hotel. Clean, modern and all staff were friendly. Also a great location! Ideal for shopping and restaurants in midtown Manhattan. Glad we picked such a hidden gem!
We stayed for a week over Christmas & had one of the ground level rooms which had 2 windows which was good for some fresh cold air. It was in a good location with a short walk to some subway stations & maybe a half hour walk to Times Square. The bathroom has some excellent heating which is really nice. You do need to turn the shower on & let it run for a bit if you want it really hot. The mini fridge is always handy & the room was well appointed with everything else you could need. The bed was comfy with nice soft sheets. The pillows are a little odd for me but we also had the same style pillow in Washington so maybe it’s an American thing. They weren’t uncomfortable but just a bit flat so I had to use both. It was expensive & quite a small room but from research that seems to be standard across all of Manhattan & at Christmas time.…
We booked this hotel without knowing much about the brand. The location was perfect for everything we needed to do the past weekend My sister was getting married. Our family had 4 rooms and they were all amazing. When my husband and I checked in we were greeted promptly and friendly by a very nice woman with an accent. She gave us our keys, a map , suggestions for places in the area and even talked to me about the driver we had our way in. The room was spotless. It was a great size for a nyc room. The showers are white marble. They even have black towels for make up removal. Other family members had rooms behind the lobby and they were equally amazing and clean. Our wedding party prepped there and the staff was super accommodating to our needs. I will stay at this hotel again if I am ever back in new york.…
