MADE Hotel garners high marks for its cozy, well-appointed rooms, though some guests find them on the smaller side. Its prime location frequently receives accolades due to its accessibility to attractions and dining. While the hotel's value proposition gets a mixed response, with some concerns over hidden costs, the service is consistently celebrated for its warmth and attentiveness.
Cleanliness is another strong suit, with most visitors impressed by the meticulous upkeep. The modern amenities and rooftop bar are popular, even if room conveniences are sometimes limited. Overall, the hotel's stylish and inviting atmosphere makes a lasting impression.

Detailed Reviews
We came here for a Valentine's Day trip in the city. Location was everything, as its a few minute walk to Penn Station, a few minute walk to subway stations, and just a lot less crowded then those hotels in the Time Square area. Our check in was very welcome, with us immediately getting great recommendations for things to do/food to eat, and our free drink tokens and even a glass of champagne each for V-Day. The people at this hotel were some of the friendliest and accommodating I've experienced in an NYC hotel.
Our room was on the 9th floor and our view was OK but our room was trendy. It is minimalist but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had great lighting, and the shampoo/lotions are awesome. Yes, there isn't storage but for a short weekend, it wasn't a big deal. I do wish they offered some free water as the water there is $6 a bottle. The rooftop bar wasn't our personal vibe but a great place to hang out and dance. The downstairs coffee bar was a lifesaver!
Our only complaint would be the sound; I feel like the hotel doesn't have good insulation to sound or cold from the windows. Sleeping by the window, you could hear the typical NYC sounds until 3AM most nights and the cold air really did draft in. That I feel like is something you can't really avoid in NYC but you could hear everyone on the hall slamming their doors and hallway noise all the time.

This was a last minute find and I'm so glad we ended up here! My sister and I wanted to have a quick little getaway with our boyfriends without having to spend an arm and leg. I'm sure because of everything going in the world, the prices we found are rare and hard to come by but this was such a great find.
Before our arrival date, I called to ask about valet since I wasn't sure if this was offered due to the location and of course it being New York City. Just from this first phone call I knew that the hospitality was on point. When we arrived it was pouring raining and I wasn't sure if I need to ring first to let them know I was out front with the car. I called the hotel and Lucas (the hotel manager) answered and explained where I needed to go. He was outside within a minute, showing us where to pull up, took my car keys and explained where to go in order to check-in.
When we walked in, Priscilla was at the desk, greeted us in the friendliest way, made us feel so welcomed and took care of us. I've traveled a lot and your check-in experience is literally what sets the tone for the remainder of your stay and she made sure our check-in was flawless.
Our rooms were on the 14th floor, next to each other and in the corner which was really nice. As expected, the rooms were on the smaller side but most hotel rooms are like this in New York. We never had any issues with cleanliness, lack of toiletries. It was perfect.
My sister and I grabbed some coffee and treats from the coffee shop in the lobby one morning. We also spent some time in the courtyard which was really nice. They also have the rooftop that's open for guests to enjoy during the day and at night. The rooms have keyless entry, a bluetooth speaker that you can connect your devices to, a safe (drawer under the bed), a small workspace, and a TV. TV channel selection wasn't the greatest but we weren't there to watch TV so we didn't mind.
Valet is valid for 24 hours from when the car is parked. We were able to have our bags stored when we checked out so that we could explore New York a little longer before grabbing the car and heading home.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in this area. The staff are so personable, friendly, and hospitable. They were definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
This hotel is right next to Koreatown which is a great/fun area to walk around. The weekend we were here, they blocked off the entire adjacent street Saturday and Sunday. There was live music and other things for people to enjoy.

This is my go-to hotel in New York for several reasons. The staff is always helpful and friendly with zero attitude. There is a superb cafe in the lobby called Paper. The lobby also has lots of cool, eclectic seating if you need a place to meet or just get some work done. The rooms have a stylish minimalist design. Lastly, the NoMad location is fantastic for walking. You're only a few short blocks from Madison Square Park and also a short walk from Hudson Yards & the High Line, Chelsea, the Fashion District, Midtown, and Gramercy Park. You can also walk to a lot of exceptional restaurants like 11 Madison Park, Craft, Gramercy Tavern, Upland, Oceans, Daily Provisions, Union Square Cafe, etc.
This is a hotel for people who don't want to drop $600-$1000 a night on a room they'll only be sleeping in. It's for people who want to get out and experience New York. But when you come back to the room, you're coming back to hotel with a fun, cool vibe that treats its guests extremely well.

Most hotels you visit in NYC are worn down and tired, MADE was a breath of fresh air. Rooms were impeccable and every employee I came in contact with from the front desk and housekeeping to the waiters and bartender were friendly and attentive! They made a short stay (less than 24 hours) a memorable one. Weekend brunch at Ferris was equally excellent.

I was lucky to find this hotel by chance and I fell in love with the vibe. The rooms are super cozy and very very clean. We felt the at home as soon as we walked in. The hotel lobby is always buzzing and lively. The front desk staff especially Cat was super helpful and courteous. The housekeeper that cleaned our room was super friendly and remembered that we always asked for extra shampoo. I will definable be back next time in NYC. Thank you MADE!

We had a great short stay at Made Hotel. The staff was very friendly and amicable. The room was spotless and had a modern, functional design to make use of the small space. The hotel is dog friendly, so it's a great option if you want to bring your furry pal along with you.

The interior design of this hotel is exquisite in dark smooth earthy tones and modern white with plants bespeckled through much of the space. It's a compelling location with equally compelling aesthetic. Check in was a breeze, with courteoys and efficient staff. Our room on the 5th floor was cozy, very clean, designed with elegant and modern industrial finishes. There is no refrigerator in the rooms, so request in advance! The bed was a low platform bed and very comfortable, with soft pillows. If you like firm pillows, do as I did, and bring your own foam. There isn't a closet space but hangers are available for use. For the 5th floor we still had a great view! Unfortunately, the room wasn't as appointed with hotel materials/manuals, robes, snacks, glasses, etc. perhaps because of covid? Though, I did see other guests with those perks in the sun deck area. Peculiar! The outdoor areas are wonderful and you get an incredible view of Chelsea and midtown. Re: customer service-- Everyone was masked and took great precautions of safety with social distancing engaged. The hotel did not sacrifice style with their necessary safety. We did have a room glitch, at first the remote for our TV wasn't working but staff were receptive, responded quickly. The shower in bathroom though gorgeous, doesn't have a full sliding door so much of the floor gets wet with a bathmat towel. Overall, my concerns are minimal with easy fixes. This was a dreamy staycay with my partner that we both enjoyed. Get delicious coffee and parties for a small brunch in their 1st floor Coffeeshop location, Paper. We definitely adored our stay and look forward to repeat a stylish future getaway!

What an adorable little place! Amazing, friendly service. Maybe people are just happy to see travelers again, but we could not have encountered more pleasant staff. So helpful and friendly. The hotel decor is casual hipster Japanese / Northern Ca. Slouchy cushions, low slung chairs and couches, lots of natural wood finished to a satin sheen, handmade pottery and lots of potted plants give it a little jungley, intimate vibe. The rooms are not big, but that’s New York. We had a double, which was perfectly comfortable for 4 days, but if you have a lot of, or large, luggage, you may want to opt for a larger room. There really isn’t much floor space and no enclosed closet. We didn’t mind, but some might. The beds are very comfortable and the baths are really nicely finished with Heath style ceramic tile, stone sinks, a rain shower and big brass fittings. The little coffee shop in the lobby gives you a free cuppa in the mornings and the intimate little bar is great for an end of the day sip. It’s all very compact, but doesn’t seem too small. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Having stayed at many of the bigger boutique hotels nearby many times (Standard, Gansevoort, NoMad, Maritime) I can honestly say that, by comparison, the MADE hotel has them all on charm and snoot free service. If what are looking for is a place to come and go without pretense, a staff that honestly seems to want to be helpful and a little luxe, slightly rumpled vibe, this is your new home away from home. My hipster 18 yo and I hated to leave.

As beautiful as the hotel appears it is not worth being charged double for a room, spending 30 minutes explaining the room was pre paid and credit card that was supplied at check in for incidentals should not have been charged for a room that was paid for. The supervisor was very rude until she realized in fact she was wrong in which I was given a lame apology.
Thank goodness they are not the only game in town! Should have MADE reservation elsewhere.

The room was a beautiful, minimalist space that was calming and soothing in the bustling city. The staff was incredibly kind, from serving us tea at all hours of day, to enabling usage of all parts of the hotel, such as the gorgeous rooftop deck while the bar was closed. I'd always to prefer to stay at MADE over the many nearby corporate hotels.
