Stayed 6 nights for a mixture of business and leisure. Check-in and check-out were efficient and friendly. In fact all the staff I dealt with throughout my stay were fantastic. The room was a decent size and nice and bright. Comfortable bed with quality linen. The bathroom was nice and spacious but the water pressure in the shower wasn't great,...

Had a double deluxe room for five nights: spacious, quiet. The hotel's location is great to venture out onto west broadway and surrounding lower manhattan neighboorhoods, short walk to hudson river. The hotel lacks a personal touch, no decorations whatsoever in the rooms (in artsy tribeca!), very minimalistic, but if you're into it... what i found strange was the darkness...

My wife and I had a great NYC stay-cation sans the children at the Smyth. It is a great charming individual boutique hotel perfectly located to explore TriBeCa and lower Manhattan. It's own restaurant Little Park is very good (we've had dinner there before and had breakfast there on this trip) and the hotel is an easy walk to many...

The Smyth was a great hotel! Exceptionally clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location! Rooms were smaller but that didn't bother us at all. We would definitely stay here again. I left my watch by accident and they sent it to me without any hesitations. Honestly, a great hotel!

The Smyth hotel is Tribeca has a great location close to attractions, great restaurants, whole foods a block away, metro right outside the door. It has good size rooms, but really it's the service that makes the difference, it's really great, everyone is super helpful and accommodating. On one of my trips I came in from a redeye and was...

We had a wonderful time at the Smyth. The hotel itself is great, with great rooms in a great location. Even more, we had a great interaction with the front desk and central reservations. There was an issue with the initial reservation, and they went above and beyond to help us reconcile the issue. It was very impressive, and a...

This was my second visit to this sweet boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed. And best of all, the bedding is soft and cozy! The free internet is awesome and you can connect your phone apps to the large screen television.

I was in a solo room for a bachelorette weekend. The room size was smaller than I expected it to be given the cost of the room. However, the location was great! We were close to everything. However, I think I will look for better value the next time I am in the city (especially if my husband travels with...

Very nice hotel with large rooms for New York) in a nice place. Close to the World Trade Center and lots of shops. Metro is located right outside the door, which makes it convenient to the rest of New York.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
