The new kid on the block has arrived — fitting right into the neighborhood while making a jaw-dropping statement. Standing 35 stories tall, Moxy Chelsea NYC is an inspired addition to Midtown Manhattan, modern yet respectful of its storied surroundings. Tucked within the bustling Flower District, our hotel ushers guests through an overgrown flower shop, where a lush conservatory provides an inviting urban retreat. Design-forward details like an LED art installation and immersive culinary and co-working spaces are spread across the ground floor and lobby, encouraging work and play. Rooms are functional and fun, drenched in natural light and offering stunning vistas of NYC. The views get more spectacular atop our 35th floor glass-encased rooftop lounge, where all of Manhattan lays glittering before you. With four new dining experiences by TAO Group and Francesco Panella located within our hotel, there's no reason to leave — except, of course, to explore the greatest city in the world.

Moxy NYC Chelsea garners praise for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, with many guests admiring the spotless, well-appointed rooms that offer stunning views, despite being described as tight by some. The hotel's prime location is a hit among travelers, providing easy access to local attractions and dining.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff, beautifully designed and clean rooms, great food/beverage options onsite plus the ultracool Fleur room on the top floor. Excellent location in the flower district. The Moxy Chelsea is our go-to hotel whenever we are in NYC.

The location isn’t my favorite, but it’s close to NJ transit if arriving via Newark Liberty, as well as Path and subway stations, making travel within the city and beyond convenient. We were able to walk to Chelsea Market, Greenwich Village, and even Central Park. Our room was NYC small but clean and comfortable. The shower was great and the set up of the room worked for 3 people with 2 double beds. There was limited service due to COVID, but we requested our room be serviced after 3 nights and it was wonderful to come back to a fresh room after a long hot day in the city. The boxed breakfast wasn’t great and I really would have appreciated some coffee in the hotel; but for the price and convenience, I would recommend Moxy Chelsea to others

First time at this hotel, neighborhood, and Marriott's Moxy brand and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located on a block filled with floral wholesalers/retailers and it was a treat to see the variety of plants and flowers in the shops and on the sidewalks surrounding the hotel. The neighborhood had plenty of restaurants with outdoor dining (in early October).
Moxy makes the most of rooms with limited space through things like walls hooks for clothes/accessories rather than closets. The brand offers an upscale decor in and out of the rooms and features a nice gym. The staff was professional and welcoming and the hotel had sanitizing stations available in high traffic areas. I had a great stay.

We stayed here 12/4-12/6 to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed! The room was small, but had space for everything. It wasn't cramped because of the huge window with an absolutely gorgeous view. Another perk is the television in the room had access to netflix so we were able to continue binge watching our shows. It's in the perfect location there are so many restaurants, coffee shops and stores within walking distance.
The staff was friendly and when we called for towels they had them sent up to us in less than ten minutes. All staff were wearing masks, customers were social distanced and the room was clean when we checked in.
We are currently planning to visit this hotel again in the new year.

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the crew at the Moxy Chelsea for making my boyfriends bday super special! This was my second stay at this hotel and this visit has definitely made it my new go too! I’d ordered some Georgetown cupcakes and the concierge team held them prior to our arrival. Upon checking in the concierge wished him a happy birthday and ensured us he’d give us a room with a wonderful view and it truly was amazing ! We watched the sunrise and set through the floor to ceiling windows we kept open the entire stay! The team was friendly and attentive our entire stay. During these times they not only provided a sense of security with how thorough they were in regards to social distancing and how seamless the checkin was. But also maintained a sense normalcy so we could enjoy a wonderful week in light of everything! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting NYC great location, service, and amazing views you won’t regret it!

I stayed here four nights on business.
I arrived late at night to a friendly greeting and quick check in. my room was only on the 6th floor, so not much of a view, but it goes up to 30-something floors, so if you ask or have Marriott status, you might do better.
There's a couple of restaurant options in/attached to the hotel, and a cool rooftop bar as well.
My room was small, but well laid out, and I didn't feel cramped. Good shower with a super simple one-knob operation (not like those unlabelled three-knob ones that take an engineering degree to decipher).
With my jetlag I enjoyed the 7am free drip coffee (6am would be better!) in the lounge on the second floor.
I'll be back!

Had a great experience on MOXY Chelsea, we came from the west coast and had to work the entire week from NY and the spaces the hotel offer and the free high speed internet helped a lot. Location is great, rooms have all you need to enjoy the city and NYC is very much open with outdoor dining and parks you can safely visit keeping distance and enjoying with your loved ones.
Will definitely stay here again. Shout out to the great crew too.

I stayed at the Moxy NYC Chelsea for a trip to NYC from California for work in early March. I was always curious about the Moxy brand also working at Marriott and the hotel lived up to my expectations of it being aimed towards Millenials (like myself) but also fitting the budget.
The hotel itself was in the perfect location as it was a close walk to the subway stations and felt like a safe area. There's even a flower shop next door which is nice to walk out to in the morning. I absolutely loved the aesthetic of the hotel, and even the staff's uniform was so stylish! All the staff I encountered at the front desk were super friendly, including Maria and a few others I forgot the names of.
The rooms are small but what do you expect in New York? You should also be minimally in the room and exploring anyhow! I stayed in a King room the first night and it was the first time I've seen a sink in the same area as the bedroom; I could see this as an issue if you are staying with someone and need to blowdry your hair while someone else is sleeping. However, this is not an issue in the double-bedded rooms so keep that in mind (the whole bathroom area is behind a closed-door versus in same room as the bedroom). Other than that, I loved the aesthetic and also loved how there was a steamer in the room. Another heads up, walls seem thin and I could constantly hear the neighbors talking or doors slamming in the hallway.
The rooftop bar was also lovely! I went on a Saturday night and it was packed; expect long lines for the bar and pricey beverages. However, you can't beat the atmosphere and those views. I also visited the Moxy Times Square bar but I preferred how this one was much more classy.
Overall, I really loved my stay at the Moxy NYC Chelsea and will absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to NYC. I'm dreaming about the next time I can return and stay there again!

This was my first stay at a Moxy hotel and I have since also visited their Times Square location. I was in town for a quick overnight stay while I went to a special concert at Webster Hall. I booked my stay last minute based on its location near Penn Station and subway lines. I was so pleasantly surprised when I checked in! The front flower shop was adorable, and very bright and welcoming on the dreary day when I arrived. The lobby was modern and chic and the check-in process as well as luggage storage was very easy. One of the most outstanding parts of my stay was the service provided by every employee I interacted with at Moxy NYC Chelsea. They were all helpful, friendly, and kind. The decor was fantastic as well, my room was comfortable and cozy with a nice view. I adore the bathroom finishes so much, I recently inquired to have similar ones put in my home. There was one small hiccup when the fire alarms in the building went off late at night, causing the whole building to evacuate, but the situation was handled very well by staff and it was remedied quickly. I do have to say, it was quite funny to see hotel guests in their PJ's mingling with dressed-up bar goers on the sidewalk outside of the hotel! I had an amazing stay and really can't wait for my next visit!

Moxy Chelsea is a great location for exploring anywhere in Manhattan below Central Park. We loved the room which, in addition to being clean with a super comfortable bed, has a quirky, industrial look and feel. The view from the 21st floor was quintessential New York City. In addition to typical hotel amenities, we had a clothes steamer in our room and the bar/lounge area was very comfortable and inviting. The staff we interacted with were exceptional and welcoming...we felt appreciated in every interaction. We have already 'booked' our next visit for next month.

Hi, you pay a $30/night “destination fee” on top of your room charge, which can then be used for breakfast at the cafe, or dinner/drinks at the restaurant. So essentially no, not free breakfast, and the destination fee is not optional. I’m from the UK and had never come across a system like this - apparently it’s common in NYC. Came as a shock!
We took the train as we live in NJ and are comfortable on mass transit. If I remember collectively, it was $75 a day which is the going rate in Manhattan. Perhaps parking in NJ and taking the PATH may be a grade.
