Excellent! Perfectly located and very helpful staff. Quiet due to well insulated windows. Clean and efficient both room and hotel. The floor we stayed on had a "quiet time" each night which was much appreciated.
The owner is very warm and welcoming and treats every guest like a long-time friend. The rest of the staff is excellent as well, always ready to help with recommendations, amenities, directions, or whatever else you may need. The hotel itself is immaculate. The neighborhood outside is very loud but as soon as you enter the lobby you're met with sense of calm and quiet, and this peace is throughout the entire property. The rooms are small but not cramped, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom is large, clean, and bright. The shower is hot and has a great shower head. The Manhattan Bridge and train were directly across from our window - you could see them but not hear them. The soundproofing is incredible. Blackout curtains make the room completely dark. The AC works great and is quiet. The bed and bedding was super comfortable in every respect. I have not slept this well in a long time. The hotel is in the heart if Chinatown (but not the tourist area) so you'll get the authentic Chinatown experience and there's plenty of food everywhere. The subway station is a quick 5 minute walk. Little Italy is a quick walk away also. I booked this property based on good reviews and was not disappointed. I will absolutely return to this location for future NYC trips.…
The location is convenient for most standard NYC tourist attractions. The room was clean, quiet, and well heated. The staff was kind and helpful for both me and my friends. The local restaurants were excellent as well.
Hotel Mimosa treated us as we are one of their family members. Basics, like clean room, a wide double bed, a helpful and friendly reception were there. Do you have a problem? (any!) They solve it. Location is another plus for this hotel.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Mimosa during Thanksgiving week. The hotel is an oasis of calm in the heart of Chinatown. Rooms are small, clean, and efficient. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The convenient location served as a good base for our exploration of other parts of the city. If you're looking for a good value without the "bells and whistles" of a large hotel, the Hotel Mimosa is worth your consideration.
This was a really lovely hotel! On arrival, the staff at reception were so warm and welcoming. They provided us with print out sheets of recommendations for places to eat and drink nearby which was really appreciated. It was very clean, quiet and well located near a few metro lines. It was easy to get into the rest of Manhattan or to Brooklyn for exploring. It was also good value for money when compared with the rest of Manhattan. I wasn't expecting the room to be very big, but it was cosy and included a desk, USB power outlets, a place to hang clothes and a view of the skyline.
Enjoyed the entire stay very much - the clean quite room, the central location and proximity to a broad selection of restaurants and bars. In addition the staff was always present and attentive, still friendly and helpful. For a single or couple - this is a great option.
Very friendly staff and comfortable bed. The staff provided detailed information on restaurants in the area and discounted parking nearby. The amenities were simple but adequate, and the room was very clean. Lots of hot water and a rather large tub.
This hotel is a complete gem. In the middle of china town you have quick easy access to most of the major sites of New York. Not far from the subway or plenty of great restaurants. The room is comfortable, warm and with a good bathroom with great water pressure. It’s tastefully decorated with very good internet and facilities. What really sets it apart however are the fantastic staff and management who are welcoming, provide a number of recommendations and cant do enough to help you. The are genuinely excellent and we cant recommend this place enough for your stay.
This hotel is very efficiently run, adequate clean room with good shower. Nice amenities, including toothbrush/toothpaste. Very polite and efficient staff. Hotel right next to Manhattan Bridge, good soundproofing, but my room had a distinct ongoing rumble from the trains on the bridge, you can feel vibrations in the room 24/7. You could ask for a room facing away from the bridge. The aircondition/heat cannot be controlled from the individual rooms. The area is Chinatown, bordering Lower East Side. There is no coffee/food available at hotel. And Chinatown really has no European/American breakfast options with coffee. Coffee in lobby or room would be very helpful. East Broadway is the closest subway stop, I recommend not getting off at the Madison Street exit, I did not feel safe there in the evening. …
