Having lived in the US and visited Manhattan many times I was surprised that you could actually find a place that was not noisy at night. The B&B was lovely on a nice street in Harlem. The brownhouse itself is beautifully renovated with antique furniture and Rick's gorgeous art on the walls. Rick being a very gracious host took the...

Excellent Bed&Breakfast, friendly host, healthy breakfast! all for a good price. At first we were not sure if staying in Harlem was a good idea, but that proved to be no problem at all. 2 streets away from the nearest subway stop (local), 6 streets to the nearest express stop (which takes you to Columbus circle on 59th St in...

My husband and I stayed four nights at the Harlem Renaissance House in March 2011 and just don't have enough words for how much we enjoyed it. The room was large and very clean and comfy. The house itself is on a nice quiet street in Harlem with quick access to the subway system. The breakfast of fresh fruit and...

My partner and I checked in for a weekend away from life at home and were so pleased with our selection. The antiques in this home are breathtaking and the host, Rick, has an amazing library to read through during the stay. Service was brilliant! All around A+ RIck knew a lot of history and gave us plenty of ideas...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was a wonderful stay. Rick (the host) is most hospitable and friendly. He gave us lots of useful information about navigating our way in the "Big Apple". Each morning he presented us with a pastry and some fresh fruit, arranged very beautifully.. (you could tell that he is an artist,...

We stayed two nights at the Harlem Renaissance. The rooms were clean and very spacious. And the breakfast is great, consisting of fresh fruit, a pastry, and (at least in our experience) some lovely German ladies and Rick. Great time.

There are just not enough good words to describe the WONDERFUL stay we had at Rick's beautifully renovated Striver's Row home. We felt as if we were coming home each night after a full day of exploring New York. For my mother, my cousin and myself it was the PERFECT base camp for exploring the urban jungle. It is just...

We stayed at this B&B two nights in mid-December 2010. Our host, Rick, could not have been more gracious and accommodating during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated and restored... the bathrooms alone had a spa-like quality to them. The beds are comfy and everything here is classy and clean. Rick had our breakfast waiting for us every morning...
