Dear delphine e, We are certainly very sorry for your less than restful evening. Perhaps you will return and we may offer you a room that does not face the street. I would be delighted speaking with you in person, should you be so inclined. Once again, please accept our apologies for the evening. Yours kindly,m Ansell Hawkins General Manager

The hotel is right in the center of Manhattan. My top floor suite was decorated in taste. It was spacious, and had a lot of sunlight which is rare in Manhattan hotels. The bathroom was big. The price was very reasonable for Manhattan. There was espresso in the morning on mazanine floor.

Position perfect in mid-town just off fifth avenue. Personnel very professional and friendly, hipster style. Services offered are perfect, housekeeping, cleaning etc very good. Rooms spacious and well furnished - hip design furniture - although polish is starting to wear off. Bathroom very nice and big - wooden floors and doors in need of a makeover. Hotel does not have...

Chambers is well-situated on 56th Street, putting it in walking distance of many New York attractions, and the room was better than many in Manhattan with complimentary wifi. But what really sets them apart is the friendliness of the staff. Having an actual metal key for the room was also a nice change of pace, as was a turndown service...

Dear Business_and_diving. First off, what a fine combination. Thank you for singling out our staff; they are indeed a terrific asset and we appreciate their work, which they always seem to make as play. This was my first stay at Chambers, for two nights March 24-25. I had read other Tripadvisor reviews, so perhaps my expectations were too high. It's indeed a very nice hotel, employees and all. Clean too. Small foyer, dim lighting, felt I needed stronger glasses and coming out of the elevator I could not find my room number. They are...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
