I would rate this hotel as 4.5* rather than 5* property that goes above and beyond as as luxury brand InterContinental advertises itself. You'd get in this hotel a classical IC service. Room comfort is excellent, so is the gym. Staff was really nice and welcoming. Convenience next to the metro station entrance is great for moving around the city. I might go back, though not certain as there are other less expensive and better quality hotels around. However, the breakfast is highly disappointing experience both in terms of organisation and food offer quality: you might end up waiting over 20min to be seated (imagine that in a business hotel and in the morning when you have all minutes well counted as NYC requires you to do, as well as in what you get offered for nearly 40 USD for breakfast. Conclusion: skip breakfast in the hotel! The bar and restaurant is open only on some hour - like it is closed in the afternoon. If you want eat or drink, bummer - you can't! And when it is open it offers limited menu and insane prices. Chicken Caesar salad for $32++ i.e. over $40?! Seriously. Conclusion: skip the hotel bar and restaurant, there is plenty of offer around the hotel anyway. Other thing, even if you have your stay wasn't booked through IHG you should get your IHG Rewards points for the extra expenses in the hotel. They won't post directly. Likely you would need to argue to get them... wishing you success.…
Booked this stay with my Tripadvisor Plus membership and saved a TON of money. We ended up getting a room on the second highest floor and had incredible views of the city. This trip was just a one night stay for a two day getaway to NYC, but we were highly impressed with what felt like very luxurious accommodations to us! The location was incredibly convenient, as we arrived into Port Authority, and the hotel staff had our room ready early when we arrived around 12pm to drop off our bags and hit the streets. My 12 year old daughter is now comparing every hotel stay to this, as it made a lasting impression on her.
I booked a king suite through booking.com. we got a king corner room. Tried to talk to front desk numerous times. They were not interested with my concerns or complaints. The room was nice but I def got ripped off. Then they kept charging my cc when I already paid in full. If i wanted a king room that's what I would of booked.boo for your service
We stayed in Intercontinental Barclay the week before and assumed the Times Square Hotel would be similar. During check we found the hotel has no Club Intercontinental, and then we tried to have a drink, and there is nowhere to have a drink before 3pm, not sure how this is possible in the City that never sleeps. Anyway we didn't stay any longer, checked out and rebooked the Barclay.
Very conveniently located, with a subway entrance just outside its front doors and the theater district, Times Square and our favorite NY breakfast establishment, Johnny's Cheesecakes, all within waking distance Intercontinental is a great choice for a NY get-away. The rooms are clean and well-appointed and all of the staff, from the bellmen to the front desk to the hostess were friendly and happy to help. We'll stay here again.
Stayed recently for 6 nights and overall had a great stay. Was upgraded to a corner suite so had amazing views. Had an initial problem but dealt with and moved to another room. Cleaner on our floor was a lovely lady who did everything to help when we needed things. Breakfast was great and servers where all polite and helpful. Great location and a great service.
Really the best location near Times Square and theatre district but just a few steps away from the real chaos. Very helpful staff - when I raised an issue on the final bill they saw to it right away when I expected a bit of a battle. Would highly recommend it but get the breakfast included rate as covers the $30 dollar breakfast !! You also get a $35 credit for the bar which is nice. You can pay for a $20 gin and tonic and feel less guilty about it.
The hotel was very confortable and central to all the popular sites you would want to visit., the subway was nearby. The breafast and evening meals were good and the service no fault found. The bar aand eating area tends to be a bit noisy and crowded between 4 and 7pm
One of the best hotels. Staff, cleanliness, location and comfort make this a top notch place for a NYC stay. The location of a few blocks for Times Square, Broadway, and port authority. Subway stop right next to the hotel. The room itself was one of the larger ones in NYC we have stayed. Will definitely repeat this location of Intercontinental.
A few of my friends and I stayed at the Times Square Intercontinental hotel for one day! They were able to fulfill our needs, we needed two connected rooms and possibly on a higher floor and they made it possible. All the staff members are very pleasant, friendly and happy people. They helped us with the garage parking which was right across but the staff member who was at the front gate stopped the entire traffic and help me pull in to the garage. They give you plenty of time to get in an out of the car. One of the rooms was having A.C issue, it was fixed in an hour. Loved our trip! It became amazing because of the hotel services. Rooms are also very nice and spacious, bathrooms are amazing. I will highly highly recommend everyone! This was our second time staying here and many more to come! 💕…
