The Cassa is a decent boutique hotel in the heart of Manhattan, two blocks from Time Square yet out of the crowd.

I typically avoid midtown Manhattan when planning any leisure activities but chose this hotel while planning a special event. It was a last minute choice and I think I got very lucky.

I booked this hotel on Hotwire and was impressed enough that I will consider it on future trips. The location is excellent for theater trips. The lobby is a little stark, but the front desk staff was excellent. Our queen room was decorated in a...More

TripAdvisor is proud to partner with JackRabbit Systems, Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Travelocity, Cancelon, TripOnline SA, Priceline, Orbitz, Hotwire, Cheap Tickets, Agoda and getaroom.com so you can book your Cassa Hotel 45th Street New York reservations with confidence. We help millions of travellers each month to find the perfect hotel for both holiday and business trips, always with the best discounts and special offers.
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
If you are on the booking form, then you should be able to check in. But I think you'll need a credit card to do that. My advice would be to email the hotel and ask them. You can do that right from the Trip Advisor page.

Breakfast at Butter was about $25 pp. We found out later that although Butter is located beneath Cassa, it is not actually part of the hotel. You can book a room with breakfast and the hotel gives you a voucher to take to the restaurant. We ate there each morning just for convenience. We were there with our parents who are in their 70's and just didn't want to drag them some where else for breakfast. If I went again I would probably go somewhere else for breakfast. Definitely Inot worth $25. The buffet consisted of runny eggs, bacon, sometimes waffles. They had yogurt, toast and some pastries. Coffee, tea & juice although not always refilled and sometimes had to ask for coffee cups or creamer or silverware. Not quite a self serve buffet if you can't find the food or something to eat/drink it on. It was the only odd thing about the hotel, but since it wasn't actually part of the hotel, I left it off my review. There are several other quick and better places across the street or in time square to eat breakfast at. Hope this helps!
