This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The hotel is not only in a great location it has a staff that makes your stay special! We had the American Girl package and their special touches made the experience even more wonderful! We were next door to the AG store, across from Rockefeller Center and a few doors down from

Location is perfect. Room is small but acceptable. Staffs at the front desk are courteous and helpful. I don't feel much street noise. Didn't try the breakfast and common cafeteria, but they look welcoming. TV works fine but I had problem with casting from my Android.

The hotel offer a very good location at the Rockefeller Center. To the next Subway is only a 200 meters walk. The rooms are not big but well organized and everything what is needed are there. The bathrooms are good and everything worked well. The windows have a good noise

Quiet room in convenient location. We were able to walk to the theaters for Broadway shows. Also, close to subway for travel to any location around the city. shopping at major stores is right there on Fifth Avenue.

Great location...were there for a show at radio city and hotel was right across the street. Close to all the action of Times Square...and a beautiful view of St Patrick’s Cathedral (could hear the bells for Sunday morning mass)!

Happy to Say, NO. (Unlike most others who try to justify it) And Wifi carries no added cost either. The Jewel may be the single best, consistent deal in mid-town; I travel to NYC more than 25 x per year and come back to the Jewel more often than not for the location and the way I am treated by the staff. Also, if it matters, every room has a very solid set-up for getting some work done, including real office chairs. Highly recommended you try them out. Tell the folks at the front desk that Mr Infelise sent you!

Most bathrooms in America have plugs in them, especially when you stay at nice hotels. You can purchase plug adapters to use here, I have found that it's hard on your hair dryer that you bring from another country, and it takes up a lot of room in your luggage. If you find out that you don't like the hair dryer in your hotel room at the Jewel, there is a convenience store (Duane Reade) just a few doors away on the same street. For about $25 -- the cost of a drink or two -- you can purchase a hair dryer to use while you're here.

My friend and I stayed at The Jewel earlier this year in a small queen room with balcony over looking the rocker fella centre and it was fabulous. There was more than enough room for us both, and the bed was two three foots pushed together. We had a coffee/tea maker which was stocked up every day, which is not offered in every hotel. The deli shop for breakfast and Jimmys burger bar across the road supplied wonderful food too. The hotel is in a great location and we found it very quiet at night. Not sure what is offered in the deluxe room or how big it will be but if you ring the hotel direct they are very helpful. X

No, the room does not have a living area. We had a queen sized bed, a desk and a wardrobe. We spent most of our time exploring the city so it was fine. The room was very clean, the staff quite pleasant and helpful. We chose the hotel because of it being a block away from Rockefeller Center, which is a quieter alternative to the craziness of Times Square but still in walking distance.
