The cleanest, most friendly staff, big rooms, smells like a spa! Valet service! No looking for parking and dragging your luggage through the streets! I could not ask for a better hotel. They were closed for the pandemic ( smart) so glad they are back!!! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff is amazing! Never an unhappy face in this hotel! The beds are so cozy! Don’t miss out on this gem located in the perfect spot! Our go to hotel whenever we are in NYC. A vacation In itself. The staff is so amazing. Did I mention the beautiful smell??? Walk in, smells like a spa! Love love love and I bet you will too!
Loved the location of this Hotel. All of the staff was welcoming and always greeted us. The rooms are very spacious-I loved that they also have a refrigerator. One major plus, the water for the shower is super hot!!!
Great hotel and a great and easy location to get to everything! The beds we’re comfortable. Even better service, especially from Robert! Made us feel so welcomed, he was the best! We had a great experience.
We were on Christmas vacation in DC and decided to visit times square for a couple days and stayed at the Hilton Times Square. I’m so glad we did because not only was the location amazing but the staff was exceptional. Every one of the staff members that we came into contact with were extremely friendly and helpful with a special mention of Raquel Woods, the front desk clerk, she was AWESOME. Raquel was a very pleasant start to our short visit, she was very personable and welcoming, it felt like and interaction between long time friends. She went over and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience and I am so thankful because that initial pleasant interaction set the tone for our trip 😊. Now my only issue which isn’t really a major issue but I would recommend maybe just doing some modern room decor and fixture upgrades. Overall the room was very clean but I feel for the amazing location and the Hilton brand itself, the rooms could look a little more modern and use some minor cosmetic changes. Thanks to our amazing front desk clerk, Raquel, we got an Empire State view and I loved it. I wanted more of a NYC skyline view because we were going to be walking up and down Times Square and that was enough of seeing it for me, so she recommended it and we were happy with it. Raquel and the other staff were so amazing that I would definitely stay here again and we’re actually already planning another visit.…
Staying at this hotel was a letdown and I feel like there was some unethical actions by the hotel. My room was downgrade when I checked in, yet I still charge for the view, and then to charge me an additional ½ night rate for a late check out. I tired talking to the staff who would not provide answers or even offer to help me and they were not the friendliest bunch. There was no manager available to speak to at any time. I booked a one-night stay at the Hilton Times Square and I booked a 2 queen bed time square view. I don’t normally stay at the Hilton properties, so I called the hotel and asked about a late check out. They confirmed there would be a small fee as I was requesting a 4pm check out, and I said that was fine. I explained I would be booking a tour in New York that ended midafternoon so I needed the late check out. I was advised it was “noted” on my reservation but to also to confirm this required the night before arrival. I did that by confirming again before arriving, by communicating in the app, and was told to mention it again at check in. I also selected my room in the app at this point. When I mentioned it again at check in, I was advised that the “small fee” (approx. $25 to $30) had now been changed to $200. I was shocked. I asked why it had changed and I was told the hotel was sold out so they could charge more. When I mentioned that was not what I had spoken about on the phone and app, I was told I could try to come back later and see a manager, but they rate changed so the fee changed and they could not help me. I finished check and went to my time square view room – only to see the view was the back and tops of other buildings. No view. It was also not the room I selected. I went back down waiting in the line again, and asked for the correct room. I showed my reservation and the room I selected. The front desk clerk look it up, said they “saw what happened”, and I was out of luck there were no more rooms. I asked what happened, I booked the time square deluxe room and this was a standard room with no view. I noted that I was not advised at any time of this change, my rate for the view did not change, they did into even mentioned I was downgraded when I checked in. She just stared at me – NO explination at all, not even an apology and I was told again there was nothing I could do. I think because I booked this so far in advance they choose to get a higher rate for the room I booked, and bumped me out of it. I guess the the best price guarantee does not mentioned you can book for a good price but you can be bumped if someone else I willing to pay more. So at this point I am beyond frustrated, this situation reminding me why I should not have bothered with my attempt to come back to the Hilton properties. No one would help, there was “no manager available to speak with” and the front desk just kept telling me there is nothing that can be done. Profit above customers and service is not required. Later that evening after the shift changed, I tried again. I was able to speak to a different person who still refused to tell me what happened. I was still not able to speak to a manager, but this person at least spoke to manager, and they would not refund the difference in the room, however they would allow me to check out at 3pm. Still not what I needed, but closer. “A note for the late check out was made on my file”. The next day I went to breakfast ($41USD for the same muffins and powered egg breakfast you could get for free at any Best Western – skip the breakfast it is NOT worth it) and we went to our tour. I had to leave the tour early to make it back before 3pm, which I did, only to find I had been locked out of my room. All of my items still inside. I had to go back down to the front, wait for over 30 minutes to be helped (now putting me past 3pm), to be told “oh ok” and the key to be activated again. I rushed back and ended my tour early, and they didn’t even bother to keep my key active; and by the time I got everything sorted out and checked out it was 4pm anyway. I did not have to cut my tour short. I waiting in line again to get my invoice as I did not get an email copy and with the unethical actions from the hotel so far, I needed to make sure I was not charged. After waiting again I was advised there is no paper and they could not give me a bill. Again, alarms bells for being unethical – why can I not have a bill? I said I would not leave without proof of what I was changed so I had to wait for them to send it to me by email. The hassle, unethical practices, and the unhelpful attitude are not worth the location. There are many other options in the same area and I would advise anyone to find another hotel chain.…
As a Hilton diamond members, my wife and I decided to stay at this hotel for our NYC New Year weekend. The hotel was extremely crowded we were not offered an upgraded room and although the room was clean and comfortable, the views from our room were a little dissapointing. The hotel has 6 elevators and 2 were out of order so everyday was a struggle to go down from the 31st floor down to the lobby. The hotel is offering an $18 daily credit for breakfast but the breakfast buffet has 2 different prices: $18 for a continental cold option or $41 for everything both cold and hot options which include eggs or omelettes. Both me and my wife were offered the breakfast credit ($36.00) but we both wanted omelettes and pancakes so the bill for daily breakfast was a wooping $95-36=$59 with tip and tax included (Thanks Hilton!!!)…
Three of the six elevators are working. There is a sign on the non-working elevators that states they are not working because of a needed "software update"; however, there are people working on the elevators with impact drills early in the morning. The elevators appear to be actually under construction. Wait times for an elevator are long. If you are on a lower floor it will be even longer, as any elevator that stops will be full already. Other than the elevator situation, the hotel is clean and well located to Times Square.
Room OK itself. Clean. Only 1 elevator from the ground to lobby. 6 elevators to your room and 3 arent working. It takes a very long time to check in and get breakfast. Not staffed well. Had issues with being overbilled and it is impossible to get in touch with anyone. Billing person doesnt answer their phone and you cant leave a voicemail. Its not worth staying here.
Location was convenient, complimentary breakfast was delicious, they even accommodated early check in. The room was clean and staffs were friendly. Would like to come back and stay here again! Thank you!
Great location for Time Square but absolutely NOTHING about this property is worthy of the Hilton name. There are 2.5 elevators working for a 40+ story hotel including the staff using them for housekeeping etc. The elevators are being renovated on the (other side 3 additional ) but the contractors said the Hilton should have done the Reno two years ago when the property was shut down for Covid and did not. Not sure if they know their address but to have 2.5 elevators for a sold out property over new years is unacceptable. The breakfast lines are even worse and made us leave every time rather than deal with the bs. Like I said, don’t waste your time until the Reno’s are done months from now. Also calling this a new hotel should be against the law. It’s either extremely worn in a few months of being open or an old building new name with no updates at all. Wallpaper is torn and peeling, stains everywhere, carpet ripped in the rooms etc. Just not at all worth the price or the name.…
