As a kid, I remember The Penn as a luxurious hotel and banquet center. In fact, My dad took me there to be eat dinner with the Mets and to see a few Ranger games. But, that was back in the mid-60's. I haven't been back in NY for a long time and for nostalgia reasons (and my beloved Rangers)...

I went with a college trip to visit the big apple. We stayed in this hotel which was in a brilliant location for everything we needed. However, upon arrival, we had to wait an hour as all of our rooms weren't ready. When we finally got up to the rooms they were very old fashioned and very creepy. There was...

I am writing this review right in middle of my stay! I have just spent a couple of hours in the hotel and already trying to find my way out! It's repulsive because it's old and damp, it smells horrible. Most of the lights in my room don't work and finally, the bath-tub is in shambles. Maybe the hotel had...

Took a school group to NYC and stayed here. Location was ideal. Hotel badly in need of refurbishment. As a base for the group to return to sleep it served a purpose. Check in was fairly quick and throughout our stay the staff were very quick to sort any problem we reported. Coffee shop in lobby was great. I would...

Before going on my trip to New York with a large group of us, I searched for the reviews of the hotel. Some reviews were similar to what we found, and some other reviews were either making the hotel look to good or too bad. When arriving at the hotel, the lobby is laid out very well and has lots...

Okay so where do I start. So after 18 hours of traveling from leeds to new York, we got to the hotel to find a que of at least 20 people with 2 people working behind the desk but plenty of people behind the desk just talking and standing around. After at least an hour we got to the room...

Stayed here for 6 days in Jan '17 and it was beyond awful! This place should be closed down and wouldn't be open if it was in a different country. Room was dirty and had rubbish over the place from the previous guests, there was mould everywhere, broken furniture and plugs and even stains and hair in the beds. Thankfully...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
