Don't go there, there are rats in that hotel!!! We just saw one in our room and they told us on the reception that this is normal ?!?! They moved us in another room and when we asked who will go with us in our room to catch the rat and help us with our things first they say that...

It is a classical American hotel. Huge building. Although the property is old, I feel New York here (like in old American films/TV dramas from 60's 70's). It is in THE center of Manhattan. If you arrive in New Ark it is strait from there by train. Many subways (tubes) arrive here so quite convenient to visit different places.

Concierge was great at getting us everything we wanted to do while in town at a great price. The hotel is older and it shows, but you won't find a better price in the center of Manhattan. If you want high end they pay 500-1000 a night somewhere else. It is located right next to Penn Station for anyone who...

The hotel in it self, is pretty chabby, the lobby looks good and I guess the floors further up, but the low cost rooms underneeth lever 4 is pretty old, shabby and almost scary. For a good price youll get a terrible room, with a decent bed, a windowview of a brickwall and a bathroom with cockroches. The reseption was...

Stayed here this past weekend for a quick trip to NYC for the weekend. We had trouble from the time we entered the lobby. There was a line a mile long to check in with only 2 associates handling check ins. They stated that earlier, it was dead so some employees had been sent home. Then we discovered that the...

Has to wait an hour in a queue for check in, the self check in machines were not working. Staff were not particularly friendly. The bathroom wasn't dirty but felt it could have been cleaner. The drawers were broken. There were no over head lights in the room, only dim lit lamps which made the room excessively dark. The mattresses...

First time in NY for business I was so disappointed. It was DISGUSTING !!! Most of their personnel were not pleasant except one guy (who didn't seem surprised I wanted to be reimbursed)! My room was a non smoking room but I found cigarette butts next to my bed. The room was sooo dirty as well as the bathroom (rusty,...

I recently checked in to The Hotel Penn for a 5 night business trip. The lobby of the hotel busy and a little hectic. My room was a dark, the fixtures were dirty and uncleaned, and the bathroom was moldy. It bore no resemblance to photographs online. On my second day, after lengthy waits, I made two attempts to change...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
