Well, I can't really compare The Muse to many other NYC hotels because I keep coming back! I adore the decor, friendly staff and complimentary happy hour. But most of all...I need a balcony to really feel free! Yes! Spend a few extra bucks and avoid the typical small box hotel room - The Muse is so much more. If...

To all at The Kimpton Muse, thanks for everything. You are all simply charming and are now firm fans of Kimpton Hotels. Room was delightful, balcony was great but sadly a bit soggy for us with the rain. Just continue to give the great service you do and change nothing. Many thanks for making our trip to New York memorable.

We love this hotel! Staff are friendly and helpful - always. The rooms are very quiet. Half a block off Times Square and close to many restaurants and theaters. Be close to the action without being directly in it. They offer free wine between 5-6pm. They are all about customer service.

This past weekend my daughter graduated from college and her Commencement was at Madison Square Garden in NYC. We usually stay at the Sheraton when staying in the city but after talking with a family friend we decided to try the Kimpton Muse and we are so glad we did. First of all the location was ideal - right in...

Our second stay here in the last 6 months proved to be another success. Daniel at the front desk is affable and informative. Our room was more than accommodating for NYC standards. Most comfortable beds and sheets, modern shower. Love the wine hour with friendly attendants. Location is perfect for the theater, Times Square entertainment, walk to Central Park and...

My experience with Kimpton properties has always been amazing: updated fresh decor, clean rooms, free happy hour daily, staff that are welcoming and really enjoy their job. The Muse is all of those things AND right in the middle of several attractions in NYC. I was traveling with my husband who loves to walk and my 6 year old who...

For $900/night I expected to be treated decently. When we experienced a malfunction with our room keys upon arrival, we trekked back downstairs to get new ones. We were issued new ones and again they didn't work. On our 3rd try, a manager came up to see what was going on and his key worked and the door opened. He...

On reaching certain birthdays a special treat is well deserved. My wife has long wished to visit New York so, for her 50th birthday, we finally got there. When you've waited so long the research is extensive and the planning exhaustive. Sometimes this can lead to disappointments, it can be difficult to live up to expectations. New York lived up...

You can never say that the Kimpton brand will let you down when it comes to style and design. The rooms here are well appointed with classic rich Kimpton furnishings and all in good repair Power outlets by the bed - always a plus in the device age The lobby is small and the amenities appeared minimal But the staff...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
