Stayed for one night before flying out to Barcelona. Couldn't have been a better location as we wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty and 911 memorial. Service was good, room was very. Lean. I was a bit disappointed with the Club Lounge. The hours and selection were a bit limited compared to other Ritz Carlton locations and also compared...

This was another fantastic experience from a company and brand that continues to over deliver at every turn. We stayed on the Club level with a view of the Statue of Liberty that was second to none. And sunsets that you just cant believe from the comfort of our room. The breakfast and dinner offerings in the Club lounge made...

Possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had, which is unacceptable and unexpected given the brand name and especially the price of this hotel. tl;dr: General: The staff was at best insincere and at worst rude after screwing up in a major way; underwhelming room (Statue of Liberty room); empty space where I assume the minibar was meant to be;...

Usually I can not afford to stay at a hotel like Ritz-Carlton , but since it was the night I got engaged I bucked up the extra cash to make the night perfect. The Ritz-Carlton made it feel even more special. The view of the Statue of Liberty was so amazing especially at night.

Carlos the concierge was truly magnificent. He made my daughter feel like a princess. Eating by the window overlooking New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty was hard to quantify. Breathtaking. Room service was great but the steak was overdone.

Terrible breakfast, nothing like the food at a JW Marriott or even a decent Hilton. McDonald's hashbrown patty, order was wrong and took my plate to fix it and only replaced what was wrong and brought back cold half eaten bacon and hashbrown with new eggs.

Was attending a conference held at the hotel. Nice rooms, though not luxurious. Room rate was excellent for NYC. The conference facilities and service were good. Front desk and door staff were very courteous. Nice to have some space around the hotel. A bit of a hike to mid-town, but not unmanageable between taxis and the metro.

I arrived at The Ritz Carlton Battery Park on a very cold, windy evening. Traveling for business can be hard, so when I checked in and was told I was automatically upgraded it was a pleasant surprise. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had everything you could wish for including a telescope. My upgrade gave me a view...

Lausanne, Switzerland

Hi all,

I'm a bit up in the air here as to the Battery Park Ritz and figured I might ask a few questions & share a few thoughts.

2 adults, 2 children (3&7) booked into a 1 bedroom liberty view club level suite

I'm a bit worried as to transport times & distance. Out of 5 days in NY I can't imagine we'll be in the Battery park area more than 1 or 2. Cost isn't really an issue compared to a 30 minute trip with a tired & cranky 3 yo. Any young families out there that have tried it out?

How good are the Statue of Liberty views? In some photos they look pretty decent while in others lady liberty looks like an ant out on the horizon. Honestly, the view is the main reason I'd take the Battery Park property over Central Park. We just got back from the Ritz Tokyo & had a wonderful city view from a 53rd floor corner suite. Even if I could find a hotel in NY that commanded such views, I would like to have my daughters remember NY a bit differently (one view overlooking a city is pretty much the same as another to young children right?).

Are there really no coffee machines in the rooms? I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel without an in-room Nespresso or Lavassa machine & this includes smaller 4* boutique hotels. A bit minimalistic for a high end luxury 5* isn't it?

Any truth to a lack of bathroom amenities? I expect 4*s (and lower 5*s) to stock tooth brushes/razors/sewing kits, etc. on property but properties such as the Ritz should have such things in-room & replenish them when used.

How is this property with kids? What in-room amenities were given for the kids (crayons/colouring books/children's soaps/children's toothbrushes/stuffed ritz lion/etc.)?

Better yet... What were the adult 'welcome amenities" (i.e. welcome card & chocolates)?

Thanks in advance.
