We are truly happy with our selection, at Broadway plaza hotel, starting with the reservation all was well taken care. Excellent service, clean spaces, fast response to needs. Help in any way asked. We’ll go back next year!!!
Highly recommend. We booked this hotel somewhat last minute based on the excellent reviews (and cancelled a reservation at another hotel) and we are so glad we did! Extremely pleased with this hotel - details below for any travelers it may help! Overall experience: Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lobby is beautiful. Concierge/door man very helpful and the hotel felt very safe. Never had to wait for the elevator. Hallways were exceptionally clean and hallway on the 6th floor smelled so good! Location: Excellent location. Far enough away from the high tourist/traffic areas that much easier to walk around/navigate without crowds, but close enough to easily walk to Penn Station, Empire State Building, Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center. Some great restaurants nearby. The Smith right across the street was excellent. Ol’days amazing for breakfast. Gelato place on the corner is very good. Oscar Wilde was good food and amazing ambiance (especially for Christmas). Room: We were given the option at checkin for an unrenovated room with a view of the Empire State Building on the 8th floor or a renovated room on the 6th floor. We picked the renovated room (601) and it was beautiful (and we could still technically see the Empire State Building at an angle!) Room was good size with a nice sitting area with table and 2 chairs. Bed very comfortable. Entire room and bathroom extremely clean. Bathroom small, but very nicely renovated. Zero complaints and would absolutely stay again!…
I love this hotel and have introduced family and friends to it. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. From the pleasant gentleman who booked us in to the maids, maintenance and concierges, all were helpful and professional. The rooms, I stayed in 905. The room was really big and even had a sofa as well as the bed. It only had one window and didn’t look out over the street but this meant I heard no traffic or street sounds, making it a peaceful stay. There is a coffee machine in the room but they happily provided tea bags and a small kettle too. The room was spotless and the communal areas are well kept. I have stayed in several rooms and have never been disappointed. The beds are really comfortable too. The hotel is in a fantastic location, away from the tourist traps of Times Square, but surrounded by restaurants and bars. It is just near the subway but also within walking distance of so many of the attractions of New York. There is a resort fee but unlike some places it is minimal and will not break the bank. This is my go to hotel in New York and I hope to return soon.…
Great location - hotel has been updated and staff is great. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Even a speakeasy (Patent Pending). Room was clean and had plenty of room. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved everything about my stay at the Broadway Plaza Hotel and feel like after fourteen visits, I finally have the New York hotel I can call home. I can’t find a single thing I can fault over my five-night stay. I received a warm reception at the front desk, which is set in a beautiful lovely scented lobby. (Actually, everything smells lovely.) On my way to the room, I noticed how immaculately clean everything is. I walked into my room and WOW! 🤩 Without even asking for it, I received a room with a spectacular view of the Empire State Building. (I did request a room with a lot of daylight.) The room was quite large, the bathroom very large. There was a good sized mini-fridge, a decent closet area and a safe. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was immaculate. A small resort fee covers good wifi, a nespresso machine, welcome snacks (chips and cookies) and a few bottles of water daily. As I said, I can’t think of a thing to fault. If I was going to really, really, nitpick, I would say the carpet has seen better days. And if it offends you to have a beige shower surround with a shower curtain, instead of something more stylish, there are renovated rooms to be had. One thing that I think says it all, is that the hotel is so approachable that it has vending machines with soda and snacks. (Most boutique hotels will turn up their nose at the notion that someone would want a Pepsi and a bag of Skittles after the end of a long day.) Most of all, from top to bottom, from reception staff, to housekeeping, to maintenance, every person at the hotel was friendly and professional and made me feel special and welcome to be there every day. Loved, loved, loved my experience.💕…
The hotel is ideally located for sightseeing the main tourist attractions in Manhattan. The rooms are a very good size and clean. Staff at the front desk were pleasant. We had a nice side view of the Empire State Building and the streets below had plenty of food and drink options.
Had an issue with the hotel calling my wife at 945pm asking her to come to lobby with credit card while I was out for the evening. This left her nervous and scared while she was alone with two small kids. This call could have waited until checkout as there was always two employees in the lobby. Being alone in the city with two kids and receiving this call made her nervous and not wanting to fall asleep. This also put a damper on an expensive show I was seeing. It had me concerned for my family. I called the manager and explained my issue. He was immediately defensive and talking over me. I had to stop and ask him why he was being so defensive. He then proceeded to tell me that 945pm is not late and most people are up at this time (not with two kids and an early flight). He then told me why they needed the card (room was already paid for through Chase). I get there is a $9 resort fee but this could have waited. He then told me I can’t book my hotel stay thru chase as they are a credit card company ( sorry my man, but I book all my hotels thru my credit card website). Very unpleasant and u professional call with this manager. I told him how disappointed I was with his behavior before hanging up. What a terrible experience that we had especially with the amount that it cost for the night and how it ruined my evening that I had planned for months. I would only like to apologize to the gentleman at the front desk because I did raise him hell when I arrived back at the hotel at midnight. But that manager customer service was horrible and I wasn’t even being a jerk about it. He already knew what I was calling about and just got defensive and brushed it off. $450 for the night!!!!…
We arrived at this hotel on Thursday, 12/15 and were greeted by a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. We went to our room which was a Junior Sweet and when we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and nicely decorated interior. There was a comfortable sitting area and a lovely bathroom. Everything was clean, the two queen beds were cozy and comfortable. This hotel is a nice size, it was very quiet, and the location was an easy walk to Macys, Rockefeller Center, restaurants etc…Starbucks and The Smith (great restaurant!) were right across the street. Would we stay here again? You bet! We also highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting NYC! Thank you to the attentive staff that made our stay at The Broadway Plaza Hotel such a nice Christmas experience-Happy New Year! …
Stayed there for work for two nights. The room was adequate and bigger than I expected. It is in a good location and the staff was extremely professional. It was easy to book a room via their website and the price was very fair.
I was surprised at the size of the room! It was perfect for 4 adults! The staff was amazing! It was very clean and only 1 block from a subway which was awesome. They do need some hooks in the bathroom and they had a nespresso machine that we didn’t like. We would have preferred a Keirug.
