The hotel was conveniently located, charming, and extremely comfortable. They accommodated my food allergies, and my room was tastefully decorated and immaculate. The staff was accommodating to all of my requests, and were able to modify a reservation when I had an abrupt change of plans. I was also quite pleased there was an empty fridge instead of a minibar...

This was our second stay at the luxurious and lovely Library Hotel. The staff is always most welcoming and helpful. The Library lounge with afternoon coffee and cookies is a quiet respite after the day's adventures. The wine and cheese evening reception is exceptional, and the bountiful breakfast a wonderful day's beginning. Location is ideal. Can't say enough positive things...

WHAT I AM ABOUT TO TELL YOU REALLY HAPPENED! My wife and I just got back from staying at the Library Hotel. Our vacation started out amazingly when we arrived at 10am on a Friday AND they checked us into our room. For real. Everyone, and I mean everyone, there was helpful and cheerful and glad to see us every...

My daughter is an avid reader, and this was the perfect place for an early graduation trip. It's, cozy, quiet, a nice restaurant attached and the free books were a definite plus. The location is nice, close to Bryant Park and the NYC library of course. Would recommend this hotel to book lovers everywhere.

This is a great location for seeing lots of sites. The hotel itself was very nice. The hotel staff were friendly & very helpful. The room was spacious & very clean, nice beds/pillows. The morning light breakfast & afternoon wine/cheese were very good! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Library Hotel is a great choice in an excellent location in midtown, just steps from Grand Central and a short walk from Port Authority. The rooms are very comfortable and the amenities such as breakfast, and nightly happy hour were wonderful. Check out the fab rooftop bar!

My wife and I stay at the Library Hotel once every couple years for a weekend getaway. The intimate size, the personalized service, the charming rooms, and the incomparable lounge overlooking Madison Avenue make it a true hidden gem for travelers who want to relax in the hotel, but step out the front door and be within walking distance of...

I could not find one negative thing to say about the hotel if I tried. Kind and attentive staff, beautiful and intriguing decor, amazing food spreads and incredible views. Also, we were gifted a free book!

We stayed in this hotel in February 2014, as part of our honeymoon. It was in a fantastic location, with most of the main attractions being within walking distance for us. We were given complimentary prosecco and chocolates in our room to celebrate our honeymoon. This was a lovely touch. The breakfast and wine and cheese nights were adequate, and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
