I haven't seen many, if none at all, pictures from the Mythology Room so I thought I'd post a few for those who are on the fence about booking this room. It's on the 12th floor with excellent views of 41st and Madison.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 9 January 2017

The Library is my favourite hotel in the city. And it's easy to understand why: the location is great (Madison Avenue, near the Grand Central Station and Bryant Park), the staff is nice and helpful and the atmosphere makes you feel cozy and at home (and that's not easy to find in the middle of Manhattan). Beside this, the rooms...

It really is good as all the reviews. Room 1106 is amazing but worth it. The staff for breakfast were steadily glum but that was the only fault as everything else was excellent especially the front of house staff who were all jovial and "human".

If this hotel was a book, it would definitely be at the top of the New York Best Seller list! Every detail of our stay was perfectly orchestrated, from the friendliness of the staff to the immaculately turned down bed cover. We have travelled all over the world and both agreed this little hotel is our favorite!

Helpful staff and great venue. The Library is very well located. The rooms are adequate in size (not big but then none are in NYC). Easy to get to everywhere from here via the subway and the staff are very helpful. I misplaced a carry bag in the attached restaurant and the night manager very efficiently tracked it for my...

Room was quiet, so no problem sleeping, except one night a city street crew started using a jackhammer after 10 pm. Staff was GREAT. Helpful, friendly. They all deserve a RAISE. Breakfast were great, as was the evening wine cheese. We can't say enough good things.

We just returned from NYC (April 24) and we had a wonderful stay at the Library Hotel. The location near Grand Central and 42 and Bryant subways was great, the room was very nice but the staff were amazing right from check in to check out. We checked in a little late (about 7 pm) due to our flight and...

As a writer/blogger this hotel has been one of my favourite so far! The hotel is super close to New York Public Libary, where I usually spend a lot of time writing.. :) Perfect location, close to Time Square. Make sure that you won't miss the rooftop! The view is amazing, and the coctails are delicious!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“First time we stayed in the Astronomy Room which was wonderful, only on the 3rd floor however, it was a corner room and the view was wonderful, as was the large king size suite. Loved it. This time we stayed in the Mythology Room, again we had a corner room even though it was smaller the view was that much better because we were on the 12th Floor. Can't wait to return!!!!!!”
