We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 nights to celebrate the New Year in New York with our family. The staff were so welcoming and courteous and the hotel lived up to all our expectations. It was so clean and well presented. Although the rooms were small, this did not detract from our enjoyment of the hotel and it...

We couldn't choose between the Casablanca Hotel and the Library Hotel so we stayed 7 nights at the former in late November 2012 and and 3 nights in the latter on our return trip to NYC in December 2012. We loved the fact that The Library Hotel was within a short walking distance to Grand Central station, the NY Public...

I reviewed this hotel about a year ago, and it remains one of my favorite stays in New York. I'll try to cover some info not mentioned in other reviews. One of the reasons I prefer to stay here is the proximity to Grand Central. That means easy transportation from LaGuardia. Sure, you can pay the $45 cab fare, which...

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Start with location. 41st and Madison is ideal for both business and pleasure in NYC. Easy access to subways and loads of taxis right outside the door, not to mention Grand Central around the corner and the fantastic NY Public Library just up the street (hence the name of this hotel)....

This small hotel a block away from the NY Public Library was very nice and in a great Midtown location. My wife and I particularly liked the pleasant atmosphere of the Reading Room on the second floor, where the complimentary breakfast was served and also where the wine and cheese were served later in the day.

We spent 10 days in Manhattan and, after a lot of research in Trip Advisor, we decided to stay at the Library Hotel. We love to stay in boutiques hotels and we were not disappointed. Every hotel employee was extremely friendly and kind, specially the guys at the concierge. On the second floor, the hotel serves a complimentary continental breakfast...

My wife and I stayed at The Library for a week over New Year's. Our experience was excellent in all respects. The room was lovely, very clean and the maid service prompt and thorough. The room was very light with all of the windows which gave a great view of Madison Ave. as well as 41st street. Front Desk staff...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
