Hotel's Favourite
View from our room on 24th floor was amazing. Comfortable bed - not too hard or soft, great pillows and black out blinds, slept really well.
Lovely shower and complimentary soaps etc that smelt amazing.
Well thought out storage spaces, under the bed and sofa etc. if staying for a bit longer than a few days then would have been nice to have some more space to hang up clothes but there was a clothes steamer if needed (which we didn’t) Room was well serviced, clean and comfortable.
We paid extra for Breakfast which was lovely, good choice of food and was great quality. As it’s not buffet style there was a queue to wait some mornings but this didn’t stop us from enjoying the experience and as we were on holiday not needing to be anywhere for a specific time.
The staff from Alex on reception, the restaurant staff, cleaning staff and everyone were friendly and helpful.
Great location close to broadway and Times Square with plenty of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. 10 min walk to subway, close to Times Square but far enough away from the crowds.
Roof top terrace was lovely and the food in the restaurant was great, we had a meal on our first night as we were feeling tired and not wanting to explore. We went early during happy hour so saved some money on a drink and pizza which was delicious.
Would highly recommend and return. Was our first time to NYC and wow what a city, and this hotel made a perfect base to explore everything. Thank you for the memories!

We didn't find a single fault with our stay. Beautiful views, the comfiest and largest bed, where can I buy the pillows?! 12pm checkout and luggage held with no fee. The lobby had the nicest smell, rooms pleasantly decorated, hair dryer, fridge and steamer included and great pressure in the shower. The lifts only work with your room key which made it feel more secure. Perfect location for tourism and food. Amazing bakery and dessert place near by. Be careful of the homeless at night, ask if you want your room cleaned/ towels cleaned etc, ask for their restaurant recommendations and they'll give you a massive list. We do have some feedback for the hotel. We are not sure if the windows are supposed to open as wide as being able to fall out but it seemed quite dangerous. We had a small issue with the airport taxi pricing arranged by Arlo, the taxi driver wanted to charge $108 instead of the quoted $85 but after negotiations the tax driver agreed but we could have done without the hassle. We found some fee's on our bank statement that we had to ask about but it was the expected

I made two trips to Arlo Midtown during the past months and was so thrilled with the staff: from check-in to housekeeping, each individual with whom I interacted was gracious, accommodating, and genuinely interested in providing me with the home away from home experience! At check-in, I received a room upgrade to a City View by Manager Scott. Expedia overbooked with doubles and Scott and Arthur aka (Funny Guys) made this transition so easy at 2am when I arrived . when I asked for extra towels, pillows, and water, someone came up to my room and delivered it all immediately and with a smile. My room was spotless, and items, such as extra towels and toiletries were replenished quickly at request. My bed was comfy and The properly was just simply beautiful. Service was just simply excellent and Scott and Arthur was there for us every time we came in late and the became part of our nightly recap telling them about the day’s journey. They enjoyed it as much as we did lol. Thank you Arlo Midtown.

We arrived a little earlier than check in time to the Arlo Midtown on a Monday. They took our details, signed us in and took our bags for us, and asked for us to return in 30 minutes to get the room key. This was not a problem and the staff behind reception were friendly and polite - they were throughout our whole stay.
The hotel decor is clean and crisp throughout, and the lift system was really clever where you scan your card and it takes you straight to your floor. We never had a long wait for lifts which was great. The room we stayed in (we were on floor 9) was really cleverly designed, with a little hanging space, space under the end of the bed for our suitcases and storage under the window seat. This was such a nice touch. The bathroom also had a sliding door, a fabulous shower and enough space. We were nicely surprised at the size of the room and was expecting it to be smaller than it was. The bed was also really large and comfy, however our only frustration was that the bedding was a sheet, a duvet cover and then another sheet, but this seemed to be the normal in the US.
We ate dinner in the restaurant one night which was fine, and a nice outside area to sit in under cover. There was a roof top bar which had fabulous views, however I didn’t see the bar open during the time we were there. Downstairs there was a reasonable coffee shop and another bar which you could get happy hour drinks. We did find that the bar area was filled with corporate events for the majority of our stay, which made it difficult to find a seat some days.
Housekeeping was by request, stated to us at check in, and my partner used the Gym which said that it was well equipped.
The hotel was located within walking distance to Penn Station and the bus terminal, which was handy for us to get on the Amtrak. Times Square was a short walk away, and we also walked to the High Line, Summit One Vanderbilt and the Top of The Rock.
There were plenty of restaurant options nearby - we enjoyed black iron burger, and found that some of the restaurants on Times Square were reasonably priced too.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Arlo Midtown and would recommend to anyone.

The rooms whilst clean and tidy on arrival, are absolutely tiny, you'll struggle to unload your suitcase. There isn't enough storage in their small suite room for 2 peoples stuff so you'll be leaving things in your suitcase. They don't clean them unless you ask.
They charge you mandatory $22 a day "urban fee" which is a mandatory fee for the "free wifi", two cheap bottles of water on arrival, and access to the gym. I don't know if this is an American culture thing but all of those things are part of the hotel, the fee is mandatory, why is not just part of the room rate? Feels like false advertising. When you check in they take your credit card for "incidentals" - they don't tell you they start charging this fee out of that, and will continue to charge your card afterwards. A mandatory fee isn't an incidental, and the lack of transparency further highlights the fact that it is a shady practice.
Location is reasonable if you're interested in being near times square etc, but in general midtown is pretty nasty and unsafe.
The bar staff were rude, and two cocktails end up costing $40+, so go elsewhere for your drinks.

We found this location extremely convenient for attending a concert at Madison Square Garden but were concerned over some mixed reviews. No need for concern. The property is well maintained, clean and well appointed with comfortable linens and no weird air freshener smell (I often have difficulty with this due to asthma) I made our reservation thru a travel company and the was an issue with the reservation. The hotel manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to assure that we were taken care of. We found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful during our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed one night at the Arlo Midtown our first visit to Manhattan since the start of the Pandemic. Could not have picked a better hotel. It was super clean and has a great vibe with an incredible friendly staff. Our special thanks to Carlos at the front desk and Carly Antonioli who solved a problem for me over the phone in no time at all. We booked a small room with a wonderful view and super comfortable beds, which was perfect for us. It rained the whole time we were there, but do to the perfect location we had an easy time finding a great Italien restaurant within 3 min walk. We very much appreciated the sunroom which we could utilize even in the pouring rain do to a glass ceiling which can be opened up on sunny days. There is also a beautiful roof terrace for sunny days. To sum it all up this is a beautiful boutique hotel, super clean with an incredible friendly staff. Can‘t wait to return.

I think the best part about the Arlo is it doesn't *feel* like a hotel. You know, the unbounded chaos and musty scent that greet you upon entering most NYC hotel lobbies. The Arlo entrance and lobby are an oasis of calm amidst the bustling Times Square area, and that's unique. The elevators are extremely efficient and after visiting our friends at a nearby hotel (at a similar price point I might add) and waiting 20 minutes in the disgusting lobby to get up to their room, we really appreciated this. I typically shout out at least one of the staff by name in these reviews, but every single human I interacted with inside the hotel was insanely friendly and impeccably capable. The rooms are kinda small but also very efficient with plenty of storage and thoughtful design like under-bed storage for your luggage. I will not stay anywhere else in NYC. Thank you!!

This hotel offers fantastic value if you need to be in this part of this city ( time square / Central Park). The room is very clean + modern and is large enough to be very comfortable. Despite not having a table to work at in the room there is a lot of public space (eg coffee shop, rooftop bar) to work. The only amenities in the room are shampoo/conditioner and body wash so you’ll need to bring a toothbrush and buy your coffee downstairs. There’s also a bit of noise from the hallways (can hear people talking and doors closing) so be aware of that.

Hotel was nice but not amazing. Rooms were small but that was expected. Disappointed with resort fee - paid $100 (fee charged per night) for 4 nights and that was essentially for 2 cans of water and wifi - they didn't replace the water in the room once. We also came back to the hotel at 4pm one day to find housekeeping hadn't yet been, they knocked on the door whilst we were in there, we said we were heading out for the evening and they could make up the room. We came back to the hotel room around 10pm to find they'd left our door OPEN which we were not impressed with one bit! The lobby restrooms were also a mess. The hotel is nice but needs some work in a few areas.

The tax for one night was $49.88 plus a $30 urban fee. I assume it varies slightly per room type, based on the room rate. This was for a standard king room.
The hotel has Valet...I parked across the street at the garage.
