4 of us stayed for 5 nights. Hotel is in a great location with subway close by. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, gluten free guests are well catered for (if coeliac I'd bring toaster bags for the bagels and bread). We had a city room with the most amazing view, we slept with the blinds open as it was so pretty. Staff are very helpful and the free tea/coffee/drinking chocolate etc was very nice. The rooms are very small but once you've had breakfast you're out for the day, who goes to New York to sit in their room. Thoroughly recommend
Stayed here for two nights over Memorial Day weekend for a girls weekend with my teenage daughter. Was originally planning to stay at the Moxy down the street (which looks super hip, and has excellent reviews) but then discovered this NEW hotel, just down and across the street on West 28th, with prices about half that of the Moxy. We booked a double room, and upon check in, asked if would ever possible to be upgraded to a higher floor with a city view. Based on my Bonvoy Platinum status, they did upgrade us to the 42nd floor and the views were incredible, with floor to ceiling windows!! The staff were very friendly. When we needed more towels, they were quick to deliver them. Be aware this room is SO tiny! If you have more than two people, it could be nearly impossible to stay here. The bathroom barn door does not have a lock and there is very little room to leave any open suitcases. The TV is disproportionally large for the size of the room. We heard NO street noise and slept well both nights. We had NO issues with the elevators as other reviewers have noted. Free breakfast in the morning was hectic, with items running out quickly, but the staff was attentive and would replace items quickly. Food was just OK, nothing special, but enough to get you out the door each day. We walked everywhere from this hotel! An Hour walk to Little Italy/Soho, 5-10 minute walk to Herald Square shopping, 20 minute walk to Hudson Yards or the High Line, 30 minute walk to Theatre district, 20 minute walk to Rockefeller Center. Our flight into NYC was cancelled and we instead took the train into Penn Station - even that was an easy 6 minute walk from the train station to Springhill Suites on W. 28th! Would definitely stay here again when in NY and if it is just myself and one other guest. Anymore than 2 guests and we would need a larger place.…
We stayed in SPRINGHILL Suites for 8 nights and had an awesome time there. The hotel brings everything what’s needed, cozy and for NYC big rooms, a great view from 29th floor, cleaned up rooms with modern equipment! And the best thing was the included breakfast for a perfect start in the day! Very close you find the subway station and also many supermarkets & delicious restaurants/bars. Especially a big THANK YOU goes to Robert, who keep up the house and is such a nice person to talk with! It was a pleasure to met him. We will come back soon and definitely choose SPRINGHILL suites again!
The staff here are great as is the location but it’s pretty much like a Travelodge. They had overbooked so instead of a king size room we got 2 queen beds in our room which meant we had hardly any space at all in the room. The bathrooms small, water Luke warm and breakfast was pretty poor. Saying that it’s 10 mins walk to Times Sq and there’s a subway stop almost outside. New York is sooooooo expensive - even the poor breakfast was welcomed to save us £100 each day (family of 5). Can’t fault it for the location and despite the 3/5 rating we would stay here again.
The building and rooms are all in pretty good shape, but the location is less than ideal on an uneventful street. It's a but of a walk to anything interesting. Staff were nice and very helpful. Hotel elevator is PAINFULLY SLOW. Every time I was in the elevator someone commented on it. Rooms have min fridge and are standard NYC size (very small), but that's expected at this price point.
Stayed here for 6 nights in Jan2023 and we could not fault the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, room was spotless and spacious for a Manhattan hotel. We stayed on 34th floor and the view was incredible. We could see the Statue of Liverty and One world trade centre. Would 100% recommend. One of the most important things for me in a hotel is a nice powerful, warm shower and it was :)
I can't remember how I found this place. It could very well be on TripAdvisor. It was a great place to stay. It's a short walk to/from Penn Station and just half a block from a metro station. We used this red line metro station daily! Breakfast was included and it was decent, but we didn't take advantage of it. It ends at 9:30 and we were either already out in the city or sleeping in. Don't fear though - theres's a great bagel shop not too far! I think it was called The Bagel Pub. There's also a Starbucks around the corner and for dinner a pizza spot (Bravo maybe?) near the bagel spot! The room is small, but we knew that going in so it got kind of messy fast. Me and 2 adult kids managed just fine though. The room was clean and toiletries are included. The beds were comfortable. It wasn't noisy although you could hear others in the hall. Maybe I just had considerate floor mates. The only bad thing was sometimes we had to wait a bit for an elevator. It wasn't all the time and it wasn't annoying. The staff were all very friendly. I would definitely stay here again!…
Pros: nice view, good location, helpful desk staff Cons: poorly laid out rooms (difficult to access both beds, ergonomically difficult bathroom, ) no hot water in shower (even after running for 10 mins), soiled comforter/linens, no valet parking, expensive.
The hotel is nicely situated in Chelsea with easy access to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and other notable NYC sights. The staff was courteous even when they were being overwhelmed by guests from around the world. The site is a shared site between Towne Place Suites and Springhill Suites in a very narrow, tall (46 floors) building. There is a free breakfast, but its not great, and you should get there early as it gets overrun. The place appears to be a favorite with European budget travelers hell bent on getting that free breakfast. The biggest drawback to the hotel is that the rooms are tiny. To call it a Suites hotel is false advertising. We did have a microwave and fridge —— but it is one room with a bed and a love seat and a closet, and a bathroom with a shower. The heating/cooling system and fan were quite loud. I did have a great view of the South Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.…
Nice hotel located within the flower district of Manhatten. Easily accessible to Maddison Square gardens, 2 mins walk. Or a 10 mins stroll to Times Sq. Rooms are nice and tidy and have everything you'd need to expect from a good hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel, particularly for families that are spending a few days in NY and want to explore.
