I spend 4 nights here and enjoyed everything except the restaurant. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room is absolutely first rate with everything you could need. Free Internet. Plenty of space. A desk to work on. Great bathtub right in the room. My room had a view of the Empire State Building. Easy walk to the Village....

A bar, in my view, does not get much better than this if I could. Old school in flavour, typical Hugh end NYC prices, but a great spot to relax after work with a classic cocktail, friends and colleagues. It really is a destination. $$$

I'm a fan after a short trip in March. The room I stayed in was elegant and quite spacious, especially for NYC standards. Only issue was the view, which directly overlooked another hotel room so I had the curtains closed most of the time. I particularly liked the french/classic style of the room and hotel. The room did not have...

I booked a room here recently via TripAdvisor. I received a confirmation email instantly, and then received another email around 12 hours later from the hotel telling me that my booking had been cancelled, without an explanation. I was merely told that if I had any problems or queries, I should contact the hotel... which I did, and I was...

Arrived on a Friday, no doorman which was no big deal, easy check in. Our room was quiet and charming, clean and well laid out, with an exceptional bathroom. Very good location for Madison Square Park / Flatiron area. We had a few small complaints which we shared with the front desk and it was escalated immediately to a Manager...

Misunderstanding in the room booking so we had to move after 2 days into another room. The restaurant is quite popular so you have to book for breakfast on the weekend even if you are a guest of the hotel. Great location and lots of cheaper option for breakfast and dinner

I booked same day (on a different website)...and they honored my reservation. First night the room was too low and windows did not open. I moved to a higher floor with opening windows and much more light. Internet was fine. Hotel bars were fun. Located in a fun part of the city--worked out really well for me--bummer that they did...

We was first time visiting NY and choose the hotel from internet and hoped for the best since its a huge city.. we was not the slightest disappointed. The location is brilliant close to Empire State Building.. service tip top. And in the evening and night time the hotel offers a very vibrant bar and restaurant environment on top.

Booked a room 4.5.17 via Trip Advisor. Nomad had their 5yr anniversary sale. 4.6.17 got a call in the morning that my reservation is cancelled and they tried to sell me the same room for double price that I've paid. Very disappointed with this sneaky & misleading way of doing business. Total scam.

NoMad cancelled reservation and wanted to charge double. No apology, just unable to honor your reservation and it has been cancelled. There is space in the hotel for the day of the reservation, just for double the price.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. ... more   less
