Stayed there while in town for business in one of their Salon rooms. Checkin was fairly straightforward, except that the rooms were not ready for at least half of those who I was travelling with. They offered some sort of upgrade if I would wait 1 hour. I was looking for a light 3PM lunch while I waited but they...

Great choice of house cocktails which were served beautifully. Gorgeous building with a bar hidden away at the back. It was very busy and could of done with more seating however the cocktails were worth the wait and glad we stopped to sample!

I visited NoMad with my fiancé for breakfast on our 2nd day in New York and I'd honestly say that if it wasn't for the setting, it'd be a 2* or worse. The food wasn't great, the staff rushed us whilst eating and kept coming back to check if we'd finished, we were crammed in amongst to many tables, it...

I stayed here recently for a business trip. Here are my thoughts: Staff: Very friendly and nice. They go out of their way to assist you. My phone was off the hook for my wake up call and they sent someone up to knock on my door when they could not reach me via phone. Now that is unexpected service...

Amazing hotel, beatifully designed throughout.  Transports you to a luxurious world from different age.  Overall, 5+ stars, and we found a last minute rate at under $250 which was a steal. - Room was large, comfortable and quiet, and lots of natural light as was on 7th floor overlooking 28th st.  May have been an upgrade.  The toilet and shower...

I really wanted to like the NoMad, but a number of missteps over the course of a short stay left me with mixed feelings. My wife and I live in Manhattan and had an event downtown, so we decided to leave the kids with a babysitter and turn it into a "staycation." We had heard good things about the NoMad,...

I stayed four nights at this discreet, understated but luxurious hotel. What I loved most was the location in the heart of the flatiron district. It was perfect for the restaurants, bars and shopping I was after. The room itself was spacious for new York standards and I loved the retro bathtub, vintage decor and bath amenities. The nomad bar...

A return trip to the NoMad confirmed its place in my mind as the "gold standard" for boutique hotels. The atmosphere and design features are excellent. The Library offers off-the-charts great food, service and atmosphere, and is reserved for hotel guests during busy times for the bar. And, for a business trip, the NoMad's close-to-everything (but in a neighborhood you'll...

I traveled to NYC for business meetings and decided to stay south of Midtown to be closer to Penn Station. On a previous visit, I stayed at the Ace Hotel which is on W.29th, but decided to try the NoMad which is literally a block down. I made a reservation for a classic room and then, for some reason, forgot...

This is a boutique hotel at its very finest. The rooms are truly magnificent and whisk you away from the city into another world. For anyone searching for a special romantic break then this is the hotel for them. For me the room wasn't overly practical and I would have preferred some more space instead of the furnishings, some more...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. ... more   less
