First of all, we would like to say: THANKS! :) We had a great stay. We loved the location and the restaurants around the hotel. The staff is great, always willing to help. The only thing you need to check beforehand is the size of the rooms, you have to have in mind that the rooms may be a bit...

Tried both Pods in NYC. While the rooms in Pod 39 have an attached bath, this means your room will have a lingering smell if you do a #2. Also, the shower does not have hot water unlike Pod 51. It's also farther from the subway, although Grand Central Terminal has more lines.

Very modernistic hotel in a great area. Lots of restaurants within a few block area. The rooms themselves are quite small but function for their main purpose which is sleeping through the night. The rooftop patio area is very much alive at night and makes a nice backdrop for a leisurely morning breakfast . The views from the patio are...

Room is about the size of the Bedrooms on Amtrak sleepers (the rooms with showers). Bathroom is definitely larger however. Like the train, there is upper and lower berth. Compact and well designed except for AC which works well but shuts off from time to time, then when temp heats up AC starts up again. I'd prefer a steady flow...

Hey santoro2009 Thanks for your write up! Glad you decided to give us a try this time around, and I hope you'll continue to come back to our property! I would say their definitely a different feel at our property. Regarding your A/C situation, our system works on temperature control, however you do have the option to take that option...

As most know it is hard to find lodging in Manhattan without breaking the bank. Lets face it, you probably won't spend much time in the hotel anyway since there is so much to do. Pod 39 was tiny, but it had it's own bathroom and was clean and updated. It was perfect for a solo travel for 4 days...

We stayed here at the end of June and I would highly recommend it. All the staff were lovely and nothing was any bother for them. We went out for a coffee and asked at reception if an iron could be sent up to the room. We returned like 20 minutes later and the iron was already there - how...

Hotel location is great! It's very close to Bryant Park where you can have a nice breakfast, if the weather is fine) I liked also cleaning service at Pod 39, they clean your room every day. We booked Queen Pod, but in fact it was still very tiny room. There's no privacy also when you're in bathroom, but for couples...

We stayed at the Pod 39 hotel for five nights. The hotel is located perfectly, just a 5 - 10min. walk to Central Station. As I stayed with a friend we booked a Bunk Bed room. The room was small, clean, but had everything we needed. The concierge was helpful and friendly. In sum: Good hotel, great location, price is...

The Lade at the front desk, named Karolina, was incredible helpful in giving a complete information about the available rooms. She understood fully to offer premium service to clients. If you are looking for a price reasonable Hotel in New York City, this is certainly the place to go. The rooms are not that big but comfortable, cozy and modern...

Stayed for four nights in June with my 17-year-old daughter (on a college trip). Room measured about 8' x 10' (not counting the bathroom). There was just room to walk around the bed. One person had to either get on the bed or step into a corner for the other one to walk by. It was tight, for sure, but...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
