I had a single room, which was small, but large enough for me and my stuff. And who needs a big room just for crashing a couple of hours a night. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I needed a printout which was no problem to get. The hotel is near the Central station, hence I...

The rooms are very small - but have everything you need, including a TV with a number of channels, comfy beds, small desk, wi-fi, safe and small bathroom (strong shower!) Located on 39th - the hotel is in walking distance of lots of NYC attractions. There is a taxi service in reception - taxi back to JFK costs $65. The...

You can't get a more central location for a week in New York than Pod 39! We travelled to NYC for 5 days in March for a girls' getaway week. The hotel was an easy 5 minute walk from Grand Central Terminal and was not difficult to find. The service at the front desk was friendly and efficient and the...

I love the Pod Hotels, super cool, small but modern and comfortable. Pod 39 is in an awesome location which makes getting around to all attractions super easy. Highly recommend it to anybody. Unfortunately the Rooftop bar wasn't open as I was there in winter but the view is spectacular, Lights strung across the pillars and you can see the...

This hotel checks all the boxes. Yes, the rooms are small, but seriously, you are in NYC, why do you need a lot of space? Its very sufficient. The people who complain about the size I think are being nit-picky. If you had kids, maybe this isnt the hotel for you, but as a couple or friends - perfect. The...

I've finally found my hotel in NY! It's in the very center, clean rooms with private bathroom, very friendly service... absolutely perfect. Moreover, compared to other hotels with similar service, the Pod is very cheap.

Pod 39 Hotel is nicely located on the east side of Midtown, a little more than 5 minutes away from Grand Central where you can grab the subway to the rest of the city. Perfect!! Yes it's small but it's clean, safe & has everything you need for quick city stay. Staff were friendly & helpful throughout our stay. Prices are reasonable, rather spend money on the amazing sites of New York than the room so worked out great for us. Close to Grand Central Terminal so really easy to get anywhere in NY.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
