We love the feel of this hotel. The rooms are always clean, the staff is professional, courteous, friendly but not overly-fake friendly. Perfect...a home away from home. We love that It is walking distance to the Village Vanguard.

Perfectly located - I had events each night of my four-night stay either in the West Village or the East Village - and I could walk to everything. One afternoon I had to go to Brooklyn and the hotel's proximity to the plethora of subway lines in and around Union Square made travel a breeze. Quiet and cozy on 13th...

My wife and I decided to go into the city for an evening to celebrate her birthday. We were tired of the usual midtown/times square experience and chose to look for a nice hotel in the Greenwich Village area. I found the Walker Hotel and the pictures on their website seemed really lovely and so we decided to stay there....

First-rate service, clean, and a charm that reminds of some small & beautiful hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Nightly turn-down service with sweet treats. I intend to stay here everytime I need to be in our NY office.

We chose this for a quiet alternative the other busy/noisey hotels in Manhattan. It's clean, and comfortable. It's a little outdated in my opinion (art deco-ish theme), but suits the age/era of the building. Rooms are small.

This classy boutique hotel is perfectly located if, like us, your favorite parts of Manhattan lie below 34th street. The Walker is nestled right in between the West Village, Chelsea and the Flatiron districts with Soho and the trendy Meatpacking District within easy walking distance. The front desk staff were super - welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable, if a...

Booked the hotel online because of special price. Initially took a standard room, but with the help of wonderful reception desk staff Nancy and Natalia, upgraded to a southern view superior on the 17th floor. Great view of southern Manhattan, enough room to feel comfortable and lovely amenities.

This hotel was fantastic! It was so centrally located that we walked everywhere we needed to go. Rooms were just great! A little on the small side but we didn't need more. The washrooms were great, modern, fantastic shower. I would have liked some counter space but managed without it. The beds were super comfortable! I highly recommend this place!...

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
