This Courtyard is high quality like a majority of the Marriott properties I have visited. Rooms are a little smaller than normal, but that is true anywhere in NYC. Room was modern, clean and well decorated. The fitness center was very good for a hotel with resistance equipment in addition to cardio. Great location, only a five minute walk to...

We needed assistance getting the luggage downstairs and the front desk told us that they can't offer any service. The room rate is around $200/nite, but the couldn't find anyone who would help? So we dragged the luggage down to the storage room, with the intent that our son would pick it up later in the day. He arrived and...

The hotel is located in a fairly quiet residential area. For NYC - the room size was decent. But there were several issues with the hotel that were not up to Marriott standards. I didn't have the temperature issues reported by other reviewers but the heating/AC unit was very very loud. In the bathroom, the shower curtain rod was essentially...

I had a hard time finding this hotel on the Marriott site initially and on my corporate site when searching for hotels in NYC. Now I wonder if it's because it's a new affiliate or a soon to be no affiliate for the Marriott chain. There is a need for hotels in the Upper East Side near the hospitals -...

Our daughters live on the UES making this a good location for family visits. I've stayed here numerous times over the last few years. My husband generally stays in mid-town when he's in NYC for work--which he is several times a year. The UES is a much quieter location--convenient to the Met and other museums. I prefer it to mid-town....

We have used this hotel on many occasion while visiting our kids in the City. Love the Upper East Side location and easy access from the FDR. And now that the Q train has opened, there is a train station 3-4 blocks away. The hotel is clean and the staff very accommodating. The surrounding area is safe and there are...

We stayed at the Marriott to help with our grandson while his parents attended a friend's wedding. The hotel was better than I expected. The staff was great - they were kind and sincerely helpful. I needed baby food at 6AM - and the front desk clerk was very helpful with instructions on how to find the local 24 hour...

Although it was an unseasonably warm February weekend, there was no excuse for the rooms to be so unbearably hot. We had 2 rooms and we couldn't sit in the rooms. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
