The location near Bryant Park and Time Square is excellent. They've got an invaluable piece of real estate there and they seem to think that nothing else is required. A clean room, for instance, would have been really nice. Then there was the question of billing, which they did twice. I prepaid but when I got home, I found that...

I would say that this hotel was okay...nice sized room for NYC and in a very convenient location.. Close to Penn station, Broadway and Times square. I would say do not bother calling ahead or booking special requests(Early check in, high floor, rooms next to each other) because upon check in none of these things had been given. They were able...

Dear myspecialks: Thank you for sharing your experience at my hotel. We do our very best to accommodate all guest requests. Unfortunately, these requests cannot be guaranteed and depend on each days availability. I'm glad we were able to move some things around to accommodate your party. Our complimentary breakfast buffet is a great value when considering how expensive dining...

I'm a loyal Marriottt customer, but my first time at RI in NYC. Within 10 blocks of all major attractions. A great deal for the money! Full b'fast inc. in price (eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles etc.) I agree w/other reviewers. Rooms are smaller than other RIs, but BIG for city standards...320 sq. ft vs 220 average....

Dear apothecaryman: Thank you for sharing your experience at my hotel with TripAdvisor. We do offer very competitive rates and our complimentary breakfast is a great bonus; especially for New York City! Our studio style rooms are in fact slightly smaller than most Residence Inn properties due to space issues in a major city. Thank you for mentioning that our...

If you want to be near Time Square this hotel is minutes away. Nice to have Internet and breakfast included in the rate. Staff was very pleasant and did not hesitate to help us in preparing our visit to NY. Breakfast staff always had time for a "good morning" and to ask us if we were satisfied.

Dear LeSeelleur: Thank you for sharing your review of my hotel with potential travelers. I have to agree that our location is ideal. We are close enough to Times Square to enjoy all it has to offer without being caught in the hustle and bustle each time you walk out the door. I'm also glad you enjoyed our complimentary amenities...

Three of us stayed for one night, Christmas Eve. We were just visiting NYC to see some of the sights and the holiday decorations. This hotel has a great location in midtown....1 block to Bryant Park (ice-skating, cute shops, excellent apple cider, even a Xmas tree of its own) and easy walks to Empire State Building, Macy's Herald Square, Times...

This was my second visit to this hotel for business and while it is convenient, offers a nice breakfast buffet, is clean and generally up to date, it is better suited for families than a business trip. The room lighting is a bit dim and cell service is difficult at best. Rooms are spacious and clean, although the bathrooms are...

We loved this hotel..... Everything about it was wonderful. This Residence Inn is, on the whole, a very good place to stay in New York city -- especially if you are staying for more than a few days, with a family and if you want to be right near Times Square. Our group of 6 had 2 King Studio rooms on the 30th floor. The view was facing north...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
