Arrived late July 6 (well after 11pm) for a business meeting the following day. The hotel is on a side street & at that hour this hotel had 1 staff on duty, no one to get the door or assist with luggage - maybe an unrealistic expectation? And let's suffice it to say the hotel's reservation process/staff provided entirely incorrect responses... The welcome is warm and friendly. All staff were helpful, friendly and basically awesome. The entry includes a small comfy lounge, bar and dining room. A great place to hang out, check email and chat. The wifi worked everywhere in the hotel. The interior is fresh and modern and makes good use of the small space. If you want a perfect little boutique hotel in this area. It's a great walking district, near the water and 9/11 museum, and delicious restaurants. The bed, pillow and sheets are divine! And they have La'Occitane products in the bathroom. I do recommend and would stay again!!!

I spent three nights at The Duane Street Hotel and loved it! I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite so it goes without saying that I really loved my room, but it was the staff that really made my stay so enjoyable. They were friendly, courteous and so helpful with anything that I needed. The location was... More

Stayed here for 3 nights for business in October. Chose this hotel based on location, rate and recommendation of a coworker. Location in TriBeCa is terrific. Close to several subway stations, great restos nearby, centrally located to World Trade and Soho. Hotel is small, quiet and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and beds are... More

We had a very lovely stay for our anniversary at the Duane Street Hotel. They knew we were staying for our anniversary and left a small bottle of champagne in our room for us, which was so sweet! The staff was wonderful and made dinner reservations for us in advance at a restaurant they recommended (which was amazing!). They were... More

Just what we wanted. Lower Manhattan, neighborhood feel, small. Didn't want large hotel high rise. Only 6 floors it is immaculate and modern. Free wifi. For food and drink you pretty much go out. Limited food menu and short hours. If you want a full service hotel this is not for you. If you want quiet and comfortable room at... More

I travel to NYC on business or for a weekend getaway with my wife about once a year. Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
